BLIND-SPOT MONITORING (BSM) WITH REAR CROSS-PATH DETECTION8 // Dual radar sensors constantly monitor driver blind spots, providing notification of an encroaching vehicle via illuminating icons on the appropriate sideview mirror and by an audible chime if the turn signal is activated. The system includes Rear Cross-Path Detection, which monitors for vehicles/objects in perpendicular relationships to the vehicle while, for example, backing out of tight parking spots.

SEVEN AIR BAGS9 // In the event of a collision, side-curtain air bags and front-seat-mounted side air bags deploy, blanketing outboard positions in all three rows of seating. A driver’s knee blocker increases driver-impact protection by offering upper leg protection, as well as helping position the driver relative to the front air bag. Advanced multistage front air bags inflate with a force appropriate to the severity of the impact.
