BASMEL® is a low-cost acoustic panel to be applied in large quantities on ceilings and walls. It is made of flexible open-cell melamine resin foam or regular acoustic foam, a thermoset polymer and fire-resistant fabric-finishing surface.Sound waves penetrate the open-cell structure, reducing the reflected energy and giving an excellent sound absorption capacity.
BASMEL® is available with a fabric cover and in a simpler version without it. There are three flat options: original (BAL060/120), the new side covered fabric (BAL060sc /120sc and the plate option with fabric (BAL200.2/200.4). The perforated option (MABS® 060) has the same pattern as the COSMOS® model and is available with self-adhesive on the back which allows a very fast and easy installation. Fabric adhesive tape can be applied to cover the union between the panels, if desired. BASMEL’s acoustic and safety characteristics make this product ideal for use as a noise control and sound insulation device in buildings that have demanding requirements against fire. It improves acoustics and soundproofing, thereby providing safety in accordance with environmental standards.
