This quilt was designed to show off your favourite large feature prints, especially like my Summer Palace Fan print featured in the photo which has different Asian fans cascading down the fabric length. Don’t be scared to also

use the design to showcase some applique of tall vases or cascading flowers, and don’t forget you can fussy cut from your feature print for some of the smaller blocks which I have also done from the Asian Fan Print.

Whatever you decide to feature in the project, I hope you have lots of fun.

From your remaining sashing fabric cut the following Cut eight Strips 15 ½" x 1 ½" Cut Four Strips 10" x 1 ½" Cut Three Strips 12 ½" x 1 ½"

Cut one Strip 13" x 1 ½" Cut Two Strips 8 ½" x 1 ½" Cut Seven Strips 4" x 1 ½" Cut one Strip 3 ½" x 1 ½"

Quilt assembly1. using the Quilt Layout Diagram below and the photo on the pattern covers as a guide, lay out the entire quilt

including the sashing.

2. Piece the three main vertical sections of the quilt that sit between the 66" sashing strips. Start by joining the smaller sections together first that include 3 ½" squares, then complete the sections they are part of. Add 15 ½" sashing strips to the top and bottom of the Panel (A) pieces.

3. once the three vertical sections are completed, join them together with the four 66" sashing strips. Then add the 49 ½" strips to the top and bottom of the quilt.

once your top is completed, choose an oriental themed all over quilting design to compliment your quilt.

I have bound the quilt in the same fabric as the sashing using a traditional 2 ¼" wide cut binding.

enjoy your quilt! It’s easy to make this design bigger by adding extra vertical sections, even make four and join them together for a Queen or King sized quilt!
