We’d like to thank you for attending the 16th Annual Village of the Blue Rose dinner auction. It is people like you

who make it possible for our residents to continue to live and work at the very special place that is the

Village of the Blue Rose.

If you have not had a chance to enjoy the Village, stay in the B & B or dine at the restaurant, we’d like to encourage you to

come and see just what your contributions support. The view is fabulous, the food is delicious and the residents are

kind and hard-working.

Many local artists and businesses have contributed to our auction, and we like to encourage you to visit them when you

are in the area. Pike County offers a lot of value.

Thank you again for your generous support. Have a wonderful time this evening.

Instructions for BiddingYour bid paddle on your table (it has your name on the back) is

for the oral auction. Hold up your paddle during the oral auction to bid. Write your bid paddle number on the silent auction, gift certifi-cates and other item sheets you would like to bid on.

All bids should be in whole dollar amounts, any partial bids will be rounded up to the next dollar. All items must be removed, after you pay for them, from the hall this evening. Bidders must be 21 to bid on items containing alcohol. All sales are final, no returns, refunds or exchanges.

Paying for Your Auction Items

The bank opens at 8 p.m. Volunteers will enter the bid info as soon as each table closes, but it may take a few minutes to have them available at the bank. This year we are recording the sales electronically which we hope will improve the speed and accuracy of the process.

We ask that you wait until you are finished bidding for the eve-ning before paying for your auction items and that you not remove items from the tables until they are paid for.

Please be sure to check the bid sheets, pay for your items, and collect the items on your receipt before you leave for the evening. We have volunteers who can assist with loading and carrying items to your vehicle.

Thank you and good luck on your bids!

Bakery Table closes at 7:45Stop by our bakery table with items made by the auction committee and friends of the Village. Be sure to take a delicious dessert home with you!

Our ResidentsOur special adults don’t just live and work at the Village, or partici-pate in sports; they make the community they live in a better place.

The young men at the Village are active members of the local Knights of Columbus and have been participating in meetings and working to start a pro-life center to help expectant mothers. They are saving soda and beer tabs to help purchase an ultrasound ma-chine and have collected an amazing amount.

The young ladies of the Village have been soliciting and collecting items for the dinner auction. Since Rose was injured in January, they have taken on extra duties, including doing the shopping for the young men’s house and after the auction, will be volunteering at a local food pantry.

By focusing on what our special adults can do, and not their limita-tions, the Village of the Blue Rose residents are truly living up to their potential and making a positive difference.

Thank you for your support of the Village and our very special residents.
