• The person responsible for the design (layout) shall be identified on the system design documents.

Minimum Documentation Required – 7.2.3

• All fire alarm drawings shall use symbols described in NFPA 170, Standard for Fire Safety and Emergency Symbols

Design Documentation Audible Notification

• Design sound pressure levels indicated

• Ambient noise indicated

Design Documentation Visible Notification

• Designation of rooms that will have visible notification

• Performance based design alternatives for strobe design

Records Retention

• Keep all test records for 1 year, and all must be available to AHJ

• Design documentation must be kept for the life of the system

• All new systems require a records cabinet at the FACU or another approved location, all documentation must be stored there

• A copy of site specific, non volatile, non-erasable, non-rewritable software must be provided the Owner
