This note considers the operational implications of the traffic flows forecast by Staffordshire County Council’s traffic assignment model for Burton on Trent on key junctions within the local road network. These junctions are: • Branston A38 Interchange including Junction D [1]; • Claymills A38 Interchange; • Barton Turns A38 Interchange; • Northern Site Access • Parkway – Wellington Road – Morrisons – Second Avenue [2]; • Stapenhill Road – St Peter’s Street – Main Street – St Peter’s Bridge [3]; • Anglesey Road – Evershed Way – Shobnall Road [4]; • Shobnall Road – Shobnall Street [5]; • Lichfield Street – St Peter’s Bridge – Branston Road – Orchard Street [6]; • Hopley Road – Postern Road [7]; • Shobnall Road – Parkway [8]; and, • Tatenhill Lane – Branston Road [9]. 1.2.
