For the past 10 years Bricoday has been the main event for theItalian Diy market. The recent transition to a two-day event hasincreased the number and quality of visitors, attracting a widerrange of professional positions. The number of exhibitors has beengrowing steadily (+20% compared to 2016).

Always faithful to the original philosophy of been an exhibitionand a conference, Bricoday 2017 presented:

• 250 exhibitors (Hardware Forum included) of every productcategory: Diy, home improvement, garden, technical department.

• 5.400 attendees, with a strong growth of large-scale not specializeddistributors, and online platforms. Bricoday is also attracting othersectors buyers (houseware, construction, furniture, electronics).

• Two days of speeches, meetings and workshops with 18 keyspeakers of the Diy world, academics and experts in various fields.The first Osservatorio Retail Bricolage has been presented duringBricoday 2017 with market numbers and trends.

Bricoday 2018 will be held at Mi.Co. Milano Congressi in the SouthPavilion, level 0 (the same location of the last editions), which islocated in the area of Fieramilano City.

Mi.Co. Milano Congressi, one of the largest congress centres inEurope and worldwide, can accomodate up to 18.000 people inabout 70 conference rooms.

Mi.Co. is well connected to the main motorway junctions, railwaystations and airports and also to an underground line (M5, Portellostation). The pedestrian entrance of the event is from VialeEginardo - Gate 3. It is available a car park reserved to theattendees.

Bricoday 2018 includes a rich agenda of presentationsand seminars, which will begin Wednesday 19 in themorning with the opening of conference andcontinue the next day. During the 2017 edition 18speakers participated: large-scale retail and e-commerce managers, marketing academics andcompanies of the sector. Main topics of discussionwere the multichannel developments and onlinesales, key word for the retail market, but also stores,customers and supply chain relationships.

During the 2017 edition the first Osservatorio RetailBricolagewas presented; it is the most complete anddetailed study about the Diy retail sector in Italy. Itincludes a part about the distribution network,another one about the retailers’ economicperformances and the last one about the retailers’category management analysis; in 2018 we willpresent the second research edition.
