Graduate Engineer Trainees(GETs)- 507 nos.in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation & Control/Mettallurgical/Civil Engineering for plants/ projects
of JSPL/JPL and other business- National and International.
ELIGIBILITY :
Qualification: Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering/ Technology in any of the above-mentioned disciplines
from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 55% marks throughout the academic carer (10th, 12th/Diploma, Degree). Candidates graduating in 2010 (currently in VII Semester) can also apply.
Age Limit: Candidates born on or after:For B.Tech/B.E. Jan 01, 1985
For M.Tech/M.E. Jan 01, 1983
Candidates having NPTI degree will be given due weightage for Power Projects.
SELECTION :
The selection of the candidates will be through written test ( domain test/aptitude test), group discussion (GD) andpersonal interview (Pl). Written test will be conducted offline at the following sixteen test centres: Delhi, Mumbai,
Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Ranchi, Nagpur, Lucknow,
Bhopal, Jaipur & Varanasi.The management reserves the right to change the test centre, depending on the number of candidates.

Upper Age Limit Relaxations: (As on 01.08.2009)l Relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes
(ST) and 3 years for candidates from Other Backward classes (Non -Creamy Layer) is permissible
in Upper Age Limit.l An additional relaxation of 10 years in upper age limit is admissible for Physically Challenged
Candidates i.e., relaxation in Upper age limit will be 10 years for General, 13 years for Other
Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer) and 15 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribecandidates as per rules.
l Ex. Servicemen will be given age relaxation as per the extant Govt. rules.l A relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit is also admissible to candidates who were ordinarily

Drawings, Assembling/Testing of Electronic Equipments, Electronic Sub-Assamblies and other PowerPlant related Electronic Products and working in an organisation engaged in Manufacturing, Assembly,
Testing of Control and Instrumentation Electronics for Power Station Equipment. Fitter:- Understanding
of engineering drawing, knowledge on types of fits and tolerance, marking, tools for measurement,types of gauges, assembly of Electrical/Electronic components like breakers, contactors and bus
bars in Power Electronic control panels or CNC programming & operating any of the following CNC
machines i) Turret punch press, ii) Shearing machine & iii) Press brake and working in an engineeringindustry engaged in assembly of Power Plant related Electronic Control Panels.
Draughtsman (Mechanical): Preparation of Electrical & Mechanical Assembly drawing andunderstanding power plant related Electronic Equipment Drawings or preparation of mechanical
general arrangement drawing & layout drawings related to Steel Plants, Coal and Ash Handling Plantsof Thermal Power Plants or any Material Handling Plants in Cement, Paper, Mining industry, etc andunderstanding of related equipments.
The Age relaxation of a maximum of 84 months will be applicable to candidates having aforesiadexperience of atleast 50 months of continuous or intermittent service. Those with lesser months of

Selection Process:l The selection process comprises Written Test and Personal Interview.l The selection process will consist of an Objective type Written Test to be held at Bangalore. The
Question Booklet will be available in Hindi, English and Kannada. Candidates should indicate their
question Booklet language choice in the application form.l All Eligible candidates will be invited for Objective type Written Test at their own expenses. On
the basis of merit of Written Test Marks, candidates will then be invited for personal Interview inthe ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies.
l All ex-servicemen, who are eligible as per Job specifications prescribed for them, shall be
invited for Written Test.Emoluments and Other Benefits:l Selected candidates will initially be appointed as Temporary Employees for a period of One year.
During this period they will be paid minimum daily wages as per notification of the State
Government from time to time for the first six months. Currently the average wages on daily
rates basis are Rs. 4248/- p.m. approx and consolidated wages of Rs. 5500/- p.m for the nextsix months or monthly wages calculated on the basis of minimum wages notified by the State
Government, whichever is higher, during the next six months, in addition, they will be entitled for
Leave, Free medical benefits for self and dependent family members as per Company rules andwill also be eligible for subsidized company accommodation, if available.
l On successful completion of this period, they will be absorbed in the regular establishment asArtisan Gr IV / Draughtsman Gr IV at the minimum of the scale of pay of Rs. 4800-130-5190-
EB-5255-150-7805/- (Under Revision) with applicable allowances such as Dearness
Allowance,House Rent Allowance, Contributory Provident Fund (PF), Gratuity, etc., as applicableand other benefits like LTC/LTA, reimbursement of Conveyance expenditure, Uniforms, Washing
Allowance, Group Insurance, Group Accident Insurance, etc as per rules. The absorption will
be subject to being found suitable by the Committee constituted for this purpose.Health Standards:l Applicants should have sound health. Before joining, selected candidates have to undergo
medical examination by the Companys Authorized Medical Authority in BHEL and the appointment
of the selected candidates will be subject to meeting the health standards prescribed by the
Company.l The candidates are advised in their own interest that they should get themselves thoroughly
examined by a competent Medical Officer before applying against the advertisement.l The Physically Challenged candidates are required to furnish duly stamped Medical Certificate in

Exchange for the handicapped.l The definition of Locomotor Disability (Orthopaedically handicapped) and Hearing Impairment,
for reservation in the matter of vacancies for Physically Challenged candidates are as under:l Locomotor Disability (Orthopaedically handicapped) means minimum of 40% disability of the
bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restrictions of the movement of the limbs which
causes an interference with the normal functioning of the bones, joints or muscles.l Hearing Impairment means loss of sixty decibel or more in the better ear in t he conversational

Processing / Examination FeesA Non-refundable processing / Examination fee of Rs 125/- is payable by General and
OBC candidates. However SC, ST and Physically challenged candidates are exempted frompaying the Processing/Examination fees.
The fees to be sent in the form of crossed demand draft drawn in favour ofBHEL, Electronics
Division drawn on any scheduled bank and payable at Bangalore.Important Instructions
1) The candidates should ensure while applying that they fulfill the eligibility criteria and other
requirements and that the particulars furnished by them are correct in all respects. In case it isfound at any stage of recruitment process or thereafter that the candidate does not fulfill the
eligibility criteria and / or does not comply with other requirements and/or he/she has furnished

1. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for grant of Short ServiceCommission in Army Dental Corps.
2. Total Number of Vacancies: 25
3. ELIGIBILITY
(a) Candidates must be BDS (with minimum 55% marks in final year)/MDS from a recognized College/Universi ty.
(b) Should have completed one year rotatory Internship by 30 Sep 09recognized by Dental Council of India at the time of submission ofapplication.
(c) Should be in possession of Permanent Dental Registration Certificatesvalid at least upto 31 Dec 2009 at the time of interview.
(d) Less than 45 years of age as on 31 Dec 2009.
(e) Should be medically fit in all respects for service in the Armed Forces.
4. SELECTION PROCEDURE
(a) Shortlisting for Interview : - Candidates found eligible will beshortlisted based on their Final BDS marks and attempts taken .Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear before the Selection
Board for interview only.(b) Medical Examination :- All the candidates who are provisionally
placed on the merit list will be brought before a Medical Board forMedical Fitness.
5. EMOLUMENTS
The candidates on commissioning in Army Dental Corps will begranted the rank of Capt with Basic Pay of Rs 17472/- and placed in thepay scale PB-3 (15600-39100). They will be granted Grade Pay ofRs 6100/- & Military Service Pay of Rs 6000/-. Non-practicing allowanceat the rate of 25% of the Basic pay, Grade Pay & MSP (total emolumentswill be apprx Rs 45000/-). In addition, entitled free ration, subsidizedaccommodation and allied facilities shall be provided. MDS degree holderwill be eligible for PG allowance of Rs.1000/- p.m. or specialist pay afterundergoing the laid down procedure. In addition, officers are entitled to60 days annual leave & 20 days casual leave, LTC, free Medical facilitiesfor self and family including dependent parents, Group Insurance of Rs.30 lakhs & unit CSD facility etc as per the existing rules.
6. PROMOTION
SSC officers are eligible for promotion upto the rank of Lt Col. PermanentCommissioned officers are eligible for time scale promotion upto therank of LT Col/Col (TS) thereafter upto the rank of Lt Gen by selection.Candidates who hold three years MDS Degree will be eligible for
three years antedate seniority. They will be promoted to the rankof Substantive Major on completion of 1 years service whereascandidates with BDS Degree will be promoted after 4 years.
7. TENURE
The tenure is of 5 years extendable by another 9 years in two spells, firstof 5 years and second of 4 years (total SSC tenure 14 years) for thosewho are willing to continue subject to laid down eligibility criteria. However,on completion of 2 years service as SSC officer, they are eligible toapply for limited vacancy available for Departmental PermanentCommission provided they had not attained the age of 28 years on 31Dec of the year of application after giving full weightage of SSC Servicerendered (30 years for MDS Degree holders).
8. ENTITLEMENT OF CANDIDATES
(a) Candidates appearing for the first time:
(i) To and fro second class railway fare by Mail/Express train oractual cost of bus fare if the mode of travel is by bus.
(ii) DA at prescribed rates for the days of halt at Delhi.
(b) Candidates appearing for the second or subsequent time are noteligible for the above entitlement.
