Heads Message

What a busy term we have coming up this Half Term. Make sure you put all the dates in the diary so you can enjoy as many of the activities with your children as possible.

I would like to personally thank those parents who attended the Parent Consultation meeting on our new behaviour strategies.

One thing we found from this consultation is that parents would like more communication with regards to all aspects of School life. Therefore, we will now deliver a fortnightly newsletter in order to keep you informed. We are also developing a School App which will allow us to send text messages to parents in order to remind you of upcoming events.

Also, don’t forget to check out our website! The calender is shared on there with dates of all upcoming events.

For those of you who were unable to attend we are planning on setting up a stall during Parents Evening to discuss our behaviour strategy and for you to ask any questions.

Due to the invaluable incite from parents during this meeting, we are planning on holding them more regularly.

Many thanks for your continued support

Mr Slattery

A Mystery at Topcliffe!

On Monday, the school was surprised to find some mysterious objects outside the cabin. All the

children went to investigate: Who put the objects there?

On Tuesday, mysterious photographs were posted all around

school of a bear!

Maths Challenge:Here are some challenges for Key

Stage 1 and Key stage 2:

Give them a go and hand the solution to Mr Slattery or Mrs Roberts. Two children will be picked at random

from the correct solutions and they will win a prize.

Parents can and are encouraged to help!

Key Stage 1Place the numbers 1 to 6 in the circles so that each number is the difference between the two numbers just below it.

Example:

Key Stage 2

A set of ten cards, each showing one of the digits from 0 to 9, is

divided up between five envelopes so that there are two cards in each

envelope. The sum of the cards inside it is written on each

envelope:

What numbers could be inside the 8 envelope?

Can all entries be in by Wednesday 22nd March.
