• Container-Appointment Linkage no longer required

• Pilot: 7 Mailers at 12 sites

How?

• Failures logged when pieces scanned with no container scan found

• eDoc Piece-Container linkage used

• USPS can not exclude containers never shipped to USPS

Known Causes

• Consolidator re-placarding pallets

• Originator generating USPS placards for co-mail/co-pal

• Incorrect marking of USPS Transported in eDoc

• Leaving unused pallet records in eDoc

Unshipped containers listed in eDoc inflate the # of unscanned containers and impact USPS scan compliance scores
