Around the Zone Vision Screening Training

And Certification

Saturday June 24, Noon to 4 pm, Lions Park, Bremerton, Northwest end.

Health Screening Training - Get trained and certified so that you can participate in this new project to screen children for vision and hearing.

In addition to the importance of expanding our preschool vision screening program, the new state law provides for "...an individual trained by and conducting vision screening on behalf of a nationally recognized service organization..." to conduct screenings in our schools and reduce the workload on our school nurses significantly. Get trained, be certified, and serve our children in this vital project.

Contact PDG Dave Risley, Liaison to the NW Lions Foundation, for more information.

I look forward to thanking you again at the Zone Picnic scheduled for June 10th at Silverdale Waterfront Park from Noon until 2:30.

Zone Goal: 100% LCIF.

In order for our District to fulfill its goal of 100% of the clubs contributing to the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF), the Zone Chair urged each of our clubs to contribute this year to LCIF. LCIF operates with very little overhead and makes signficant contributions all over the world. Some of the significant work of LCIF includes making measles vacinations available to people throughout the world, the eradication of preventable blindness worldwide, immediate response to natural disasters and much more. Take a moment to look at the LCIF.org website to see all of the good we Lions do worldwide. Four of

our six clubs have already made donations to LCIF this year.

SAVE the Date Announcement.

To be held at the Clearwater Casino.

Club Officer Training

Our District has set an ambitious goal to see that most elected officers in our clubs participate in a training program. Even if you’ve held your office before, there are changes and new information that might make your position easier or more successful this coming year. As an experienced officer, you might just have some good ideas to pass along to others.

The training schedule is attached.
