The MarketWith some 120 million hectares, Russia possesses 9% of the worldwide available arable lands and relies on modern technologies from European manufacturers and their know-how in education and training of staff to modernize agriculture.The region of Krasnodar plays a leading role in the development of the Russi-an agriculture and food processing. With about 4.5 m hectare of arable land, Krasnodar is the most important region for agriculture in Russia. Fertile black earth soils guarantee high yields of wheat, barley, rice, sunflowers and soy. Thus, the region provides a big potential for manufacturers of agri-cultural machinery, for the production of high-quality products in the region and for the processing of rice, grain, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, meat, sunflowers, wine etc.

The Russian agricultural and food economy will continue to grow in 2019, follow-ing the previous trend. The agricultural sector is of great political and economic importance and is heavily subsidized by the state with the purpose of becoming completely independent from food imports.The export value of agricultural products is to be doubled to 35 billion euros by the year 2025. Despite rising production and exports, Russia cannot meet its de-mand alone and is still dependent on imports of agricultural products and modern agricultural machinery from abroad.The advantages of the Russian market are present consumer demand, the growth and profit opportunities and a low tax burden.

The ExhibitionYUGAGRO is the largest and most important agriculture trade fair in the Russian Federation. On app. 65,000 sqm, YUGAGRO 2018 registered 616 exhibitors from 35 countries and 71 regions of Russia, presenting their latest products ran-ging from tractors, agricultural machinery, plant production and storage to agri-cultural chemistry, seeds, as wells as irrigation systems and greenhouse equip-ment. Altogether 17,415 trade professionals from different regions of Russia and neighboring countries visited the exhibition. Official national presentations from Germany, Turkey and China were part of the fair.
