The restaurant is targeted at tourists who are interested to learn about local cooking and cuisine taught by the local community. Eptani Members: Alif Haidir Adana, 21; Ahmad Adhi Jatmiko, 21 and Agung Dwi Prasetyo, 21 (Indonesians) Field of social enterprise: Business and Livelihood, Rural community, Environment Location of social enterprise: Indonesia Eptani seeks to improve the standard of living of rural and urban communities in Malang, Indonesia by providing them with alternative income through the cultivation of earthworms, which also helps to manage pollution caused by organic waste in housing areas. Eptani provide free training in earthworm cultivation and marketing for the products. Ecodoe Members: Larasati Widyaputri, 22 and Tatang Gunawan, 21 (Indonesians) Field of social enterprise: Environment, Rural community, Recycling Location of social enterprise: Indonesia Ecodoe seeks to empower local craftsmen and housewives in West Java, Indonesia. Ecodoe involves them in the production of the finest handmade green souvenirs which are made from disposed sheep fur and natural aromatherapy grass (vetiver).

It intends to do so through its internet platform that allows customers to order old-fashioned Chinese cuisine prepared by elderly employers.

Hi-Breed Members: Dimas Agung Saputra, 22, Rio Trimono, 22 and Azizon, 24 (Indonesians) Field of social enterprise: Business and Livelihood, Rural community Location of social enterprise: Indonesia Hi-Breed seeks to improve the livelihoods of local small farmers in Indonesia by home integrated breeding. It intends to do so by empowering them with capital, breeding skills, strong business networks, and opportunities to create village-scale industries in the future.

Gap Year Guide Member: Kelyn Tan Po Yin, 21 (Singaporean) Field of social enterprise: Education, Youth Location of social enterprise: Singapore Gap Year Guide seeks to offer a portal of opportunities bringing youth across the globe to live, work and volunteer with social enterprises for an adventure of self-discovery. These experiences are set to widen the horizons of young people outside their comfort zones, as they contribute to meaningful causes, honing their skills and unraveling their aspirations.

and Ali Bahtiar Sirry, 21 (Indonesians) Field of social enterprise: Business and Livelihood, Rural community, Disability Location of social enterprise: Indonesia

Osiris seeks to empower a community of disabled people and dragon fruit farmers in Yogyakarta, Indonesia to attain better income and livelihood as well as to achieve an inclusive society for them to live in. Osiris does so by assisting the members of the community to produce and market fresh and healthy dragon fruit ice cream, keeping in line with the rising trend of healthy living.

Project Ubuntu Members: Lau Ee Min, 20 (Malaysian) and Peh Gao Xian, 20 (Singaporean) Field of social enterprise: Arts, Disability Location of social enterprise: Singapore Project Ubuntu seeks to find employment for disadvantaged artists by linking them to mentors and businesses. This includes artists with disabilities, in financial difficulty or with any other medical condition such as mental illness. It intends to do so by showcasing their artistic services and selling the products through its network of stores.

STARTIC Member: Vania Santoso, 23 (Indonesian) Field of social enterprise: Arts, Women, Recycling Location of social enterprise: Indonesia

STARTIC seeks to empower marginalised individuals to handcraft exclusive recycled products, such as transforming unused cement sacks into leather look-alike products. It provides ecopreneurship training on waste management, product innovation, and marketing, especially in the fashion industry.

It intends to establish a sustainable business by refurbishing and selling leftover items from university hostels.

The Lockr seeks to inspire positive change in the lives of at-risk youths through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, while building their emotional-social intelligence with the guidance of passionate mentors.

Ubersnacks Members: Witri Ani Syafa’ati, 21, Siti Nurul Qomariah, 20 and Bayu Firdaus, 20 (Indonesians) Field of social enterprise: Culture, Rural community Location of social enterprise: Indonesia Ubersnacks seeks to promote and improve Indonesia’s local snacks and market them to international customers. It intends to do so by implementing world-class production management for local snacks producers in order to produce high quality snacks.

VolunteerNow aims to gamify volunteering with trophies and badges, use mobile technology to increase ease of access and enable group-chat-based volunteer management, tracking volunteer work and dashboard-based impact analysis.

WateROAM Members: David Pong, 25 and Lim Chong Tee, 23 (Singaporeans) and Vincent Loka, 21 (Indonesian) Field of social enterprise: Environment, Water, Disaster relief Location of social Enterprise: Singapore WateROAM seeks to bring simple, portable and durable water filtration solutions to disaster-stricken sites in developing countries.
