1) Construction of a new Ramp D from Plaza to I-190 Northbound; Widening of the I-190 Northbound bridge, over the existing combined Riverwalk and the access driveway to the Massachusetts Pumping Station

2) Removal of Baird Drive from Front Park between the Plaza and Porter Avenue, and restoration of the street area to park land; Minor landscaping and pathway restoration

2) Relocation of the park entrance for vehicles to the Porter Avenue/Lakeview Avenue Intersection

3) Construction of a new Ramp PN from Porter Avenue to Ramp N

4) Minor modifications of portions of existing Ramps A, C, N and P

5) Construction of new access from Porter Avenue to Ramps P & PN by either:a new signalized intersection on Porter Avenue; ora new roundabout on Porter Avenue.

6) Possible replacement of the Porter Avenue Bridge over I-190 and CSX Railroad

7) Possible Relocation of the Riverwalkpedestrian/bicycle bridge crossing over CSX Railroad, the access driveway to Massachusetts Pumping Station, and I-190 to an area between I-190 and the Black Rock Canal. Work would include reconstruction of a portion of the Riverwalk

8) Reconstruction and widening of the sidewalk along the south side of Porter Avenue from Lakeview Avenue to LaSalle Park and Riverwalk for use as a pathway for both pedestrians and bicycles

QC is Design-Builder’s Responsibility

Design-Builder shall be required to develop a QC Plan covering both Design QC and Construction QC

Design-Builder shall appoint a QC Manager responsible for Project QC

Design QC shall be by the Designer in accordance with the QC Plan

Construction Inspection shall be by an Independent Engineering Firm (Hired by the Design-Builder)

Materials Testing shall be by an Independent Testing Firm or Laboratory (Hired by the Design-Builder)

The Independent Testing Firm shall report to the Construction Inspection Firm

Offsite Plant Quality Control will be performed by the Department

QA is Department’s ResponsibilityThe Department may perform QA on any of the Design-Builder’s Design and Construction ActivitiesThe Department may utilize an independent Consultant to perform QA of the Design-Builder’s DesignsDepartment Staff will perform Construction QARFQ Section 1.9 covers QA/QCRFP will describe in detail the Department’s QA Role for the Project
