• 100% QCE/ QCIA attainment
• 20% with ATAR 90.00+, cohort mean of ATAR 60.00+
• 70% receive B or higher on external exams
• Maintain position as a high performing school
What is the QCE?
• Senior school certificate
• Indicate schooling completed in a set pattern, set amount
of learning at a set standard with minimum literacy and
numeracy standards
• Nominal value of 20 QCE Credits

• Students must be passing at a C standard or
better across ALL units of work.

Unit 1 & 2 – ‘completed end of Term 3’
• Contributes to QCE credits – does not directly
count towards exit results (ATAR).
• Prepares students for Unit 3 & 4, familiarity with
assessment types, foundation content,
understanding cognitive verbs and marking guides.
Unit 3 & 4 - ‘commencing beginning of Term 4’
• Contributes to QCE credits and does contribute towards exit results (ATAR)
• General subjects will three (3) internal assessment items and an external exam.
• Essential subjects will have three (3) internal assessment tasks and a common internal task.
• Applied subjects will have 8 items (over two years)

Assessment Processes
• ALL students receive the task at the same
time (available in three places)
• ALL students required to submit by 3.30pm
on the due date (draft & final)
• Submit in a central location (Lower Q Block)

• Failed submission notice forwarded to
parents
• Student upload into plagiarism detection
software
Late Submissions
• In accordance with QCAA requirements;
Late submission (final) will NOT be awarded an
achievement level
• Access Arrangements & Reasonable
Adjustment (AARA) – “Special Provisions”
Examinations• Exam schedule released each term.
• Students may miss some of their classes due to exams. Reduced the impact as much as possible.
• Exam block at End of Term 3.
• Not permitted to sit exams early. Will be required to sit an alternative exam paper.
Off Campus Program
• Students will miss timetabled lessons
• Q12 provided for independent study time
• Must use the time effectively to ensure
maintenance of satisfactory academic
progress
Subject Changes
• Should be a last resort, the impact on senior
outcomes is too great.
• Flexibility for students moving from an ATAR
pathway, moving through the Maths or English
streams or from General to applied or certificate
course
• Closed until end of Term 3
Academic Coaching
• Student will meet with an academic coach 2-3
occasions throughout the course of the year.
• A check in to discuss progress, difficulties and
develop strategies for academic improvement.

• New school leaders in place for Semester 2.
• Mentored by the outgoing school leaders in term 3.
