entrepreneurs, social leaders, politicians, artists, sports personalities and professionals. To connect and

network through competitions, discussion groups, adventure activities, idea sharing and innovative

processes.

We believe in delivering an enriching experience throughout the festival making it an unforgettable life

moment for our participants. Our key focused learning areas are Personal development, Personal

responsibility, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Business, Sports, Aesthetics, Entertainment, Social issues

and sustainability.

These will be delivered in various ways such as Interactive sessions, Workshops, Competitions,

Youth Fest 2013

Youth Fest 2013 is aimed to trigger youth to reflect and activate global leadership within its delegates. It's time that we all raise the bar and set higher standards that are acceptable internationally. Youth should no more stick within their local mindset, whilst technology, access to information and availability of opportunities are very much near their finger tips. It’s time we start think with a global mindset. May it be educational, competencies, professionalism and quality of services offered or products manufactured, sports played or music or social work; have the youth considered their potential to take themselves global, minimum standards they should set to be competitive in a global market? Sri Lanka since post war is paving its way to development. Fast developing infrastructure including port expansions, highways, power plants and technological enhancements, growing economy, government direction and policies are attracting investors around the world. Industries across a diversified area such as tourism and leisure, agriculture, apparel, knowledge, education, etc is becoming more attractive in future. Is youth equipped well enough to capitalize on these opportunities and to embrace ownership of a brand new Sri Lanka? Within Youth Fest 2013, we aim to trigger this message, make its delegates reflect on it, take actions to stand tall internationally and forward the message with their network. Within this framework delegates will learn from each other, learn and network with resource persons from different sectors, participate in simulations and many more interactive activities. . The Event has also been recognized by the NYSC as a milestone event for the UN world youth conference 2014.
