The biggest Czech businessman, J. A. Baťa, who supplied the world with shoes, wrote the books „Collaboration“ or „Industrial City“, and this philosophy was the basis for his success culminating in the founding of industrial suburbs in the Netherlands, Great Britain and especially whole new cities in Brazil (Batatuba, Mariopolis, Bataguassú, and Bataypora). And no, not even Baťa was original; we find symbiosis (= mutually beneficial coexistence, fruitful cooperation) in nature - a frequent phenomenon.

WE FIND SYMBIOSIS

For some, it is difficult just to say out loud, and when the Czech word for collaboration “spolupráce” is uttered, it will probably be a painful experience for most. We have,

however, decided to make cooperation easier - easier to understand, to implement, and to manage. Even to say it out loud. That´s why we took the Czech word “spolu” (= together)

and added it to the English word „work“. We are SpoluWorks. This is a philosophy, method and a system of work and its management.

First, there were separate units with good know-how and a long tradition that, with paranoid caution, gradually began supporting one another with their knowledge and

products. Now it‘s like The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas: „One for all, All for One“. Entities greatly complement and support one another. E.g. SpoluWorks PERFECTA is a kind of showroom for SpoluWorks AUTOMATION products. And team AUTOMATION uses the expertise of the PERFECTA team to automate the machining process of its customers.

To cooperate seamlessly we also need seamless communication. First important step towards quality is always precise understanding of customers‘ or colleague‘s requirements

and its implementation in design or production process. At the picture above, our videoconferencing room allows us also to share drawings or

documents on the same display with our counterparts far away from us. While looking on the same document, we can draw on it, mark on it,

write on it, add comments or pictures. Not only small bite of important technological or qualitative information get lost in translation.

Our team members from the workshop have their personal iPads that connect them directly with the ERP system. They get all the information necessary for production straight to their iPads. They send all common feedback and even more - results of in-process quality checks inclusive ! - from iPads straight to ERP system.Two examples of the benefits for our reliability and flexibility:For different batches of the same product, we can compare the process data from machines, the quality inspection data from machines or operators, tool consumption data from Tool Management System ... evaluate it ... and cement the most efficient and reliable production set-up for the future.Via speech to text functionality of iPads, they add a comment or problem description or an idea of innovation to a recent manufacturing operation. The text is stored as a part of the technical documentation of the product and sent to the Progress Team to take it in account.
