PREBIOTIC FIBER, WHEY PROTEIN, NATURAL INGREDIENTS

Gluten Free | Nut, Tree Nut & Peanut Free | No Added Sugars

Prebiotics are fibrous, non-digestible carbohydrates that, once consumed, make their way to the colon where they fuel the growth of beneficial probiotic bacteria. Feeding probiotic bacteria in the gut has been shown to promote the immune system, lower the risk of colorectal cancer - and even increase weight loss.

The idea that gut bacteria can also play a role in weight control is being increasingly proven by research. 8,569 normal weight adults were

followed for nine years to evaluate the link between prebiotic consumption and the risk of becoming overweight.

People with the highest intake of prebiotics were significantly less likely to become overweight over time than those who consumed the least, even after adjusting for diet and lifestyle factors.

A research team from Calgary tested prebiotics in overweight or obese adults. Each received 21 grams of prebiotic fiber every day for 12 weeks.

They found prebiotics increased weight loss by 228% over the placebo group.

What’s even more exciting is the overweight adults involved only lost fat.

No muscle mass or bone mass was lost.

That means prebiotic fiber was specifically targeting fat cells — an even more incredible and invaluable benefit of prebiotics’ ability to help you lose weight.

Prebiotic Fiber Studies have proven that changes in your

gut flora can increase the rate at which we

absorb carbohydrates, as well as increase the storage of calories as

fat. This means that someone with poor gut flora could eat

the SAME amount of food as someone with

a healthy gut, but extract more calories from it and gain more

weight.

INULIN & YOUR HEALTHFIBER FROM THE CHICORY ROOTInulin is a soluble fiber that is loved by the good bacteria in our gut

flora. Since our body cannot digest it, inulin has very little impact

on blood sugar. A daily dose of the recommended intake of inulin

promotes immune system function, supports the cardiovascular

system, and enhances the absorption of minerals in the body.

Immune SystemBy feeding and enhancing bifidobacteria in the colon, inulin has

been shown to stimulate the immune system and inhibit harmful

pathogens in the intestine that could otherwise harm the gut

mucosa.

• Studies also show that diets containing inulin reduce colon

cancer risk

• Lowers triacylglycerol in the blood, reducing the risk of heart

disease.

Mineral AbsorptionConsuming inulin enhances the absorption of calcium, magnesium,

zinc and iron in the colon. By absorbing more calcium, inulin

helps diminish the loss of bone tissue, aiding in the prevention of

osteoporosis.

Weight lossDaily consumption of inulin reduces appetite, making weight loss

easier! Inulin`s effect on the gut microbiota can help reduce obesity

and increase weight loss.

• Inulin has a sweet taste making it very useful as a sugar

replacement.

• Inulin thickens and gels making it fantastic thickening agent

and substitute for fat.

• Inulin swells in the digestive system, increasing the sensation

of fullness.

DigestionInulin increases the regularity and volume of stool, diminishing

constipation and diarrhea.

• Inulin can help prevent relapses in c. difficile associated

diarrhea.

• Diets containing inulin help reduce the risk of metabolic

diseases by releasing amino acid chains in the gut and

regulating digestion.

Benefits for DiabeticsIntake of inulin may help prevent diseases related to blood lipids

and blood glucose.

• Inulin stablizes blood glucose levels, and especially in

combination of proteins, can improve insulin sensitivity

• Diets containing inulin can help reduce triglyceride-rich

lipoproteins which are a risk factor in diabetes.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY GUT FLORA IS IMPROVING?

THE FIRST FEW DAYSYou WILL have bloating, gas and some temporary discomfort from your fiber. This is good! It means your body is replacing the bad bacteria in your gut that thrives on sugars and simple carbs, with the beneficial fiber you need to reduce cravings and increase weight loss.

THE FIRST FEW WEEKSYou will likely notice you start going to the bathroom more regularly and as your gut is re-colonized with beneficial bacteria your body will start to lose more fat, sparing your muscle.

A WORD OF WARNINGIF you start to eat a lot of sugar again, your body will start to replace your healthy gut flora in as little as 24 hours. You will need to reset!

Whey protein is actually not a single protein but a collection of

proteins and protein fractions (or peptides). Whey protein pro-

motes weight loss in three key ways. First, protein reduces hun-

ger and whey protein does so even better than other proteins. In

addition, whey protein reduces fat storage compared to carbs,

fats, and other proteins. And fi-

nally, whey protein enhances the

fat-burning effects of exercise.

Less Hunger, Fewer Calories

To lose excess body fat, it is

almost always necessary to

reduce the number of calories

you consume each day. Most of us can resist hunger for a few

days, but few of us can resist hunger for more than a few weeks.

That’s why most weight-loss diets don’t last very long.

Gram for gram, calorie for calorie, whey protein produces more

satiety (fullness) than other foods. In a recent study from the

University of Washington School of Medicine, unrestricted

high-protein diet phase, the subjects voluntarily reduced their

daily eating by 441 calories per day and lost almost 11 pounds

on average in 12 weeks.

Research has shown that whey protein reduces hunger the

most. One study found that a whey protein “appetizer” reduced

appetite for two hours, compared to just one hour for soy pro-

tein, while an egg protein appetizer actually increased appetite.

What makes whey more filling? Whey protein contain high levels

of a peptide called glycomacropeptide (GMP), which is known

to be a powerful satiety (or hunger-quenching) nutrient. In ad-

dition to stimulating satiety, whey protein reduces hunger by

lowering circulating levels of the hunger hormone ghrelin.

A recent Australian study found that a whey protein drink pro-

duced a prolonged suppression

of ghrelin. Whey also causes

fullness by activating opioid re-

ceptors in the gut. Specific pep-

tides contained in whey bind to

these opioid receptors, which

then communicates with the

brain to produce that pleasant

feeling of fullness that makes you put down the fork.

Whey protein blocks fat too.

An intriguing new line of research suggests that whey promotes

body fat loss by blocking fat storage. In a recent French stu-

dy, laboratory animals fed whey protein had the highest levels

of lean body mass. Scientists are still trying to figure out how

whey protein boosts fat loss in dieters, but they believe two spe-

cific components of whey: branched chain amino acids (parti-

cularly leucine) and a protein fraction known as ACE inhibiting

peptide are important.

Whey Protein Weight Loss

Exercise is essential for optimal health and for developing and

maintaining a lean body composition. High-protein diets are

proven to boost the effectiveness of exercise. In a study from

THE POWER OF NUTRALEAN

SPONTANEOUS CALORIE INTAKE DECREASED BY 441 CALORIES WITHOUT SUBJECTS

TRYING TO EAT ANY LESS

the University of Illinois, women were put on either a high-pro-

tein or a low-protein reduced-calorie diet and an exercise pro-

gram. The women on the high-protein diet lost twice as much

fat. That’s because the women on the low-protein diet lost a

lot of muscle. In fact, one-third of their weight loss was muscle

weight.

Convert Fat to Muscle

The unique amino acid profile of whey protein makes it a bet-

ter muscle builder than regular food protein sources such as

beef and other supplemental protein sources such as soy, ca-

sein or egg. Many studies have shown that individuals engaging

in weightlifting gain more muscle on a high-protein diet. Only

whey protein significantly improved their body composition.

The Quality Protein Whey

So, how do you take advantage of all of this science to manage

your own weight with whey protein? Different processing me-

thods are used to produce whey protein powders. The highest-

quality whey proteins, like Nutralean are produced through

cross-flow microfiltration. Cross-flow microfiltration is a costly

process that produces a very high concentration of intact pro-

teins while also preserving the full range of whey protein pep-

tides and their distinct benefits. In alternative processes such

as ion exchange, which involves the use of chemicals, many of

these peptides are lost. It’s the protein peptides that make whey

special and unique compared to other proteins.

A meta-study of published research from 1970-2012

revealed that diets supplemented with whey protein

powder reduce obesity while maintaining lean mass. This,

in turn, increases thermogenesis in the body.

Furthermore, whey protein powder and its bioactive

constituents were found to offer greater benefits when

compared to egg, soy or casein proteins.

Whey protein has been shown to:

• Improve glucose levels and insulin response

• Reduce cardiovascular risk factors

• Lower blood pressure and arterial stiffness

• Improved lipid profile

EmotionEaterYou know what to do and when life is going well, you stay right on track. But as soon as you run into stress - you comfort yourself with food. You know it doesn't solve your problems, but you feel better when you can eat.

NightEatersYou do great during the day. You start your day off right, you don't feel hungry or have cravings until the evening strikes. Then watch out! You crave ALL the junk food - whether it's chocolate, chips or other munchies.

BingersYou stay on track for periods of time, and then something happens and you fall off the wagon. You use that as an excuse, and your bad-food habit goes out of control and you start binging on unhealthy choices. You then try to get back on track by limiting all food until the next binge strikes.

GrazersYou eat small amounts all day long. There's no such thing a waiting for meal times. You eat at your desk, in your car, there's food on your counters and in your fridge and if you see it - you'll eat it.

VolumeEaterYou eat large amounts of food, but never feel full. You can always go back for seconds or even thirds! When you try to control your portions, it just makes your hungrier and you wind up eating even more.

FoodAholicsYou love food, and you are really a mix of the other five problem eating types. You graze, you snack, you binge from time-to-time, and when you get stressed you eat even more.

Your NutraSMART Plan is customized to your eating type. Whether problem eating sneaks up you in the evenings, or you have a sweet tooth or a chip addiction, that's ok!

We've got a plan that works WITH you to keep you on track.

Find out your type here and download your free NutraSmart Plan: nutracelle.com/nutrasmart

NUTRASMART PLANIf you're used to munching your way through a package of cookies or a bag of chips because you're stressed, angry, or upset and you just want something to soothe you, you're in good company. Studies suggest over 97 per cent of us go through phases of emotional or mindless eating.

Not only does it leave you feeling guilty but emotional eating and mindless food habits play a large part in what we really eat. In fact, we make hundreds of decisions a day, yet we remember only a tiny fraction. A major study into why 95-97 per cent of diets fail found the vast majority ditched their good intentions due to emotional issues and mindless routines.

Although plenty of programs provide good nutritional information, if they don't address how and why people actually eat - they're bound to fail. The NutraSmart Plan helps you identify your problem eating type, and then gives you a step-by-step plan to leverage your own habits to stay on track.

FAQ'SYOUR QUESTIONS ANSWEREDWhat is the difference between fiber and prebiotic fiber?Fiber is simply a carbohydrate that is resistant to the action of digestive enzymes. A prebiotic is a specialized plant fiber that beneficially nourishes the good bacteria already in the large bowel or colon.

What is the difference between a probiotic and prebiotic? While probiotics are microorganisms that provide health benefits when consumed, prebiotics act as a fertilizer for the good bacteria that’s already there.

Can I eat too much protein? If we eat more than we need, the excess protein will be broken down and used for energy. Even though a relatively high protein intake is healthy and safe, eating massive amounts of protein is unnatural and may cause harm.

Is protein hard on my kidneys? There is a persistent myth in nutrition that eating a lot of protein can harm the kidneys and cause osteoporosis. No studies actually support these claims.

How much protein do I need a day?The amount varies depending on your age, your health, your gender and your activity levels. You can visit nutracelle.com to use our free protein calculator.

Is it better to spread my protein intake throughout the day?Research does support this. Men who ate protein every 3 hours had more benefits than the 6-hour group, or the group who supplemented once per day.

Should I have a protein shake before I go to bed?A study published in “The British Journal of Nutrition” in 2014 found that eating 30 grams of whey protein 30 minutes before sleep causes a higher resting energy expenditure the next morning compared with not eating before bed or consuming carbohydrates before bedtime.

I'm not a breakfast eater. Is that ok?Experts at the University of Missouri have found that a breakfast rich in protein significantly improves appetite control and reduces unhealthy snacking on high-fat or high-sugar foods in the evening. So have some protein coffee to start your day.

Why does NutraLean only have small amounts of added vitamins, unlike some shakes that have a full daily RDA?Our goal is for you to be able to crowd out the poor food choices with protein and fiber, which means several servings per day. Too many vitamins can cause toxicity and severe health problems. That's why we prefer you take your multivitamin seperately.

I'm getting gas and abdominal discomfort, is this normal?Yes, while your body is growing the good bacteria you need, you may have some temporary bloating and gas. This means the prebiotic fiber is doing it's job and once your gut flora is healthier, the gas will go away.

Why can't I buy a single bag or get a sample?NutraLean was created to help you burn fat by crowding out unhealthy choices every day. One bag - or one shake - will never help you reach your goals. Where is NutraLean made? Our Nutrition Sciences Labs & Manufacturing are located in scenic Prince Edward Island, one of the most beautiful and pristine places on earth. The Island enjoys a reputation as a leading food-sciences innovator with one of the safest food supplies in the world.

As a Mom of three beautiful children, I wanted to be able to bake with protein to make healthier treats like cookies, breads and brownies for my family to enjoy.

It was important to me that our entire family ate healthy together. I didn't want our children to view food as bad or off-

limits or develop negative attitudes toward food and nutrition.

I wanted them to grow up understanding that we all can make simple, easy choices that gives our bodies the vital nutrients and energy we need, and still eat delicious and fun food.

My youngest son, Raine, has a life-threatening nut allergy and my middle daughter, Abby, is sensitive to gluten. And it was important to

us that both our girls develop an empowered relationship with food and their self-image.

It was frustrating to see that there wasn't a safe option available for our family. There were either added sugars and chemicals, or products were processed in facilities that also handled nuts or had ingredients I didn't trust. Some products even sourced their protein and fillers from China and were using sugar alcohols and engineered fibers.

I wanted real food, with real ingredients, that were safe, wholesome and healthy for my family.

As a mother, creating Nutracelle has been a labour of love, taking over 3 years of research & using only the very best quality, scientifically-proven, natural ingredients.

From my family to yours - I wish you a healthy life, full of love, laughter & real food!
