Puzzle, Story and Mobile Phones

group to create a group story. • The logic and flow of the story should need very few

words.

How does our story align with your experience?

Mobile Learning Design

When going mobile:

• Analyze users – their tasks, environment, places, times, lighting, noise levels

• Test new mlearning content with real users in their environment with their devices

• Test for engagement as well as for accuracy of delivery

• Ask the learners to participant in creating the content

• Use games when appropriate. Fun and useful is the focus here, not the learning aspect.

Four C’s of Mobile Capability

• Content – presenting information• Capture – capturing information• Compute – individual captures the data and enters it,

the device processes it• Communicate – Connect and communicate with others;

informal/social learning

Mobile Learning Development

Challenges:

• Long publishing times• Poor platform and browser compatibility• Clunky drag-n-drop interactions• Lousy version control• Cumbersome & time consuming revision processes• Inconsistencies in display – develop vs. deploy• Complex and overwhelming application menus• Long learning curves
