The Skills Assessment and Gap Training – Civil Construction Program provides a pathway for Participants to have their existing skills recognised and provide Gap Training to achieve Qualifications within the Building and Construction Industry in Queensland. Experience counts, particularly when it’s formally recognised. It will make a difference to your future. The first stage of SAGT will see your skills and abilities ‘mapped’ against a Qualification. You will then go on to undertake the targeted gap training.Only one (1) Qualification is to be delivered to each participant during the contract term and the Qualification cannot have an outcome based entirely on RPL. A Participant must undertake a minimum of two (2) Gap Training competencies throughout the Contract Term.

There are many proven benefits to having an upskilled workforce. Aside from safety practices and legislative requirements, demonstrating to your workforce that you are willing to invest in them will improve staff retention and productivity. Workers who hold nationally recognised training can offer more skills diversification and sustainability to your organisation and introduces more accountability and expectations to the individual in their role.

Training is not a cost, its an investment - The better your employees are at their job, the easier it is for your organisation to attain the level of productivity and skills required.
