Prayers of the Faithful
From time to time, some have asked why a second collection is taken monthly for a maintenance fund at St. Michael. Our parish property is very
large and encompasses many buildings. Most of our buildings are 55+ years of age and require immediate attention when maintenance issues arise.
Like the homes in which we all live, unexpected maintenance occurs and must be addressed promptly.
Our church itself is 56 years old. Total maintenance expenses for the months of November through January
were $83,000.00. Of this total, we experienced a shortfall of $35,277.00. Sadly, these unbudgeted expenses occur routinely.
Our second collection for the month of February is for the support of our parish maintenance. All funds given to this collection assist the parish in
off setting the unbudgeted expenses accrued in maintaining our aging parish plant.
Thank you for your stewardship and generosity!

Vacation Bible School 2020Make VBS at St. Michael the Archangel your child’s go-to event this summer. It's just the ticket! Climb aboard for mountains of fun on the Rocky Railway! Children will discover that trusting Jesus pulls them through life’s ups and downs on their faith-fi lled adventure. This year’s dates are June 1 – June 5.
Current Shine Middle School Series: Can I Ask That? (For Grades 6-8)Teenagers are tired of vague, superfi cial, or nonexistent answers to their tough questions about God. Who is God? Can we even know if God is real? What proof is there that God exists? What does this mean for my life? The question of the existence of God is one that can change the entire course of a person’s life. This series, “Can I Ask That?” will address questions about God and some of the biggest stumbling blocks in believing that God exists. In laying out foundational truths about God, the goal of this series is for middle school youth to see that it is reasonable to believe that God exists and that, through faith, they can know God and be in a relationship with Him. Shine is our weekly ministry for middle schoolers grades 6-8 on Sunday nights from 6-7:30pm, after the 5pm Mass – all teens and their families are welcome and encouraged to attend the 5pm Mass! Join us every week for food, faith, and fun as we journey in community as disciples on mission in the good life God has planned for us. It doesn’t matter if you go to Catholic School or Non-Catholic School, if you are in 6th, 7th or 8th grade Shine is for YOU.
Current Awaken High School Series: Doubt It (Grades 9-12)Miracles are fascinating. Scripture is overfl owing with accounts of God controlling nature, healing the sick, and raising people from the dead. The Church consistently investigates and approves miracles attributed to the intercession of saints. Miracles can and should strengthen our faith in God, but so often they are easy to doubt. "Doubt It" is an Awaken series that will challenge high school teens to have expectant faith in God, who performs miracles as a way of revealing His power and goodness. Awaken is our program on Sunday nights for high school students in grades 9-12 beginning with the 5pm Sunday evening Mass, and continuing after Mass until 7:30 pm. At Awaken, high school students join a small group where they can go deeper with one another and their adult mentors, and form life-long friendships through the good, tough, and just busy times of high school.
