Psalm 69: 30
Psalm 19 Selected Verses
Fran:
1The heavens proclaim the glory of God.The skies display his craftsmanship.
2 Day after day they continue to speak;night after night they make him known.
3 They speak without a sound or word;their voice is never heard.
4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.
Congregation:
7The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD
are trustworthy, making wise the simple.8 The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living.
Fran:
9 Reverence for the LORD is pure,lasting forever. The laws of the LORD are true;
each one is fair.10 They are more desirable than gold,
even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey,
even honey dripping from the comb.11 They are a warning to your servant,
a great reward for those who obey them.
Congregation:12 How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults.13 Keep your servant from deliberate sins!
Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.
All together:
14 May the words of my mouthand the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. This
will please the Lord.

Colossians 1
Paul’s Thanksgiving and Prayer3We always pray for you, and we give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 4For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all of God’s people, 5which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News. 6This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. 7You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co-worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf. 8He has told us about the love for others that the Holy Spirit has given you.
Colossians 1
9So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10Then the way you live will always honour and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. 11We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, 12always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. 13For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, 14who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. ………………………….19For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, 20and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.
I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. This
will please the Lord.
Psalm 69: 30
Surely he has borne our griefs.
Surely he has borne our griefs.
Surely he has borne our griefs.
Surely he has borne our griefs.
Surely he has borne our griefs.
Surely he has borne our griefs.
I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. This
will please the Lord.

Psalm 69: 30
It is impossible to please God without faith.Hebrews 11:6
It pleases God that we are obedient
The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him
• Hebrew verb; yare – to fear, to respect, to revere
• Hebrew noun; yirah –usually refers to the fear of God, and is viewed as a positive quality
The fear of God is an attitude of respect, a response of reverence wonder. It is the only
appropriate response to our Creator and Redeemer.
Colossians 1: 9-10 NLT
9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you
spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 Then the way you live will always honour and please the
Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to
know God better and better.
John 8: 29 He has not left me alone…..I always do what pleases Him.
John 5: 30 For I seek not to please myself, but Him who sent me.
It pleases God when we pray
1 Timothy 2: 1 - 3
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Saviour…..
Father, your power to lift me up is stronger
than all the things that hold me down.
Our Father, who art in Heaven
Help me to be sensitive to the beautiful and
responsive to the good, so that day by day my
life may show your holiness.
Hallowed be Your name
Help me to be quick to see and ready to
encourage whatever brings your Kingdom
into what might otherwise be an uninspired day.
Your Kingdom come
Help me to do Your will this day so that
the ideals of the Spirit are not a far-off
dream, but a reality in my living.
Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Open the way for me to live without
anxiety and let me never forget the needs of others.
Give us this day our daily bread
Make me patient and sympathetic with the
shortcomings of others, especially those I love. Keep me
watchful of my own shortcomings. Keep my eyes lifted to You so that I may be
forgiven.
And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
Let me not go carelessly this day within the reach of wrong I
cannot resist. But if in the path of duty I must go where
temptation is, give me the strength to resist it without fear.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
All Together:
For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power and the Glory
forever and ever.
Amen
It pleases God when we pray
2 Corinthians 5: 7-9 (VOICE)
7 The path we walk is charted by faith, not by what we see with our eyes. 8 There is no doubt that we
live with a daring passion, but in the end we prefer to be gone from this body so that we can be at
home with the Lord. 9 Ultimately it does not matter whether we are here or gone; our purpose stays
fixed, and that is to please Him.
2 Corinthians 5: 9 (NLT)
So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him.
Breathe on me, breath of God
Breathe on me, breath of God
Breathe on me, breath of God
Breathe on me, breath of God
Breathe on me, breath of God
