Application form including Information sheet containing details about qualifications &
experience can be downloaded from the university website www.ymcaust.ac.in and submitted with
a fee of Rs 200 (Rs 50 for SC/ST) either in cash or through Demand Draft in favour of Registrar,
YMCA University of Science & Tech., payable at Faridabad. The University reserves the right to
increase/ decrease the number of posts or it may not fill any of the posts advertised without
assigning any reason. The applications shall be short-listed and mere possession of minimum
qualification & experience does not entitle a candidate to be selected. The posts can also be filled-up
on deputation. The candidates who are already in service have to submit their application through
proper channel or they are required to submit the No Objection Certificate from their present
employer, otherwise their application form will not be entertained. The Candidates who have
applied for any of the above posts earlier against advt No 2/2014 need to apply afresh along with
detail of application fee already paid. They need not to pay the fee again.

The erstwhile YMCA Institute of Engineering Faridabad has been upgraded to YMCA University of Science & Technology, Faridabad. The University has come into existence by the ActNo.21 of 2009, passed by the State Legislative Assembly published vide Notification No. Leg.29/2009 dated 16.9.2009 and notified by the Technical Education Department vide Memo dated 30.11.2009. The University offers B.Tech / M.Tech/ other PG courses & Ph.D in the following areas of specializations:
A) B.Tech Courses (Aided): Mechanical, Electronics Instrumentation & Control, Electrical and Computer Engg.
B) B.Tech/M.Tech Courses (Self-financing):
a) B.Tech. in Information Technology & Electronics & Communication Engg. b) M.Tech. in Computer Engg., Information Technology, Manufacturing Tech. &
Automation Engg, Power System & Drives, Electronics & Instrumentation, Networking, Electronics & Communication, VLSI Design
c) Master of Computer Applications (MCA) d) Master of Business Administration (MBA) e) M.Sc in Physics & Maths

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF TEACHING FACULTY- ENGG. & TECH.
1. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (Engg. & Tech.) - Pay Band : Rs.37400-67000+AGP 9000/-
i) Essential: A Ph.D degree with First class at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the appropriate branch of Engg. & Tech. and experience of 08 years in teaching, research and / or industry at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent grade, excluding the period spent on obtaining the research degree.
OR If the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:
a) First Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of Engg. & Tech.; b) Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in
appropriate branch of Engg & Tech and industrial/professional experience of 08 years in a position equivalent to a level of Assistant Professor.
Provided that the recognition for significant professional shall be valid only if the same is recommended unanimously by a 3-Member Committee of Experts appointed by the Vice Chancellor of the University.
ii) Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:
Teaching, research industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization;
Published work, such as research papers, patents filed/ obtained, books, and/or technical reports;
Experience of guiding the project work/dissertation of PG/Research Students or supervising R&D projects in industry.
2. PROFESSOR (Engg. & Tech.) - Pay Band : Rs.37400-67000+AGP 10000/-
i) Essential: A Ph.D. degree with First class at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the appropriate
branch of Engg. &Tech and experience of 10 years in teaching research and / or industry, out of which at least 05 years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent grade.
OR In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential: a) First Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of Engg. & Tech.; b) Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in
appropriate branch of Engg. & Tech. and industrial/professional experience of 10 years out of which at least 05 years at the level of Associate Professor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF ASSTT PROFESSOR – PHYSICS & CHEMISTRY
a) A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
b) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
c) Notwithstanding anything contained in (a) and (b) above, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/ SLET/ SET for appointment as Assistant Professor.

i) Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Master’s Degree in Business Management/ Administration or in a relevant discipline with consistently good academic record having at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / recognized by the AICTE / UGC;
OR First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost and works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory body.
ii) Ph. D. or Fellow of Indian Institute of Management or of an Institute recognized by AICTE and declared equivalent by the AIU.
iii) A minimum of ten years’ experience of teaching / industry / research / professional out of which five years must be at the level of Reader/Associate Professor or equivalent excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degree.
iv) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential: a) Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a
point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Master’s Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevant management related discipline or consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in two years full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / recognized by the AICTE / UGC.
OR First Class graduate and professionally qualified Charted Accountant / Cost and works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory body.
b) The candidate should have professional work experience which is significant and can be recognized at national / International level as equivalent to Ph. D. and twelve years’ managerial experience in industry / profession of which at least eight years should be at least at a level comparable to that of Reader/Associate Professor.
v) Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:
Teaching, research, and / or professional experience in a reputed organization;
Published work, such as research papers, patents filed / obtained, books and / or technical reports;
Experience of guiding the project work / dissertation of PG / Research Students or supervising R&D projects in industry;
Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic, research, industrial and / or professional activities; and
Capacity to undertake / lead sponsored R&D consultancy and related activities. Note: For Associate Professor, 300 points consolidated API score(set out in UGC Regulation Appendix-III-Category III), and for Professor 400 such points as based on Performance Based Appraisal system(PBAS)shall be needed which the candidate shall calculate and justify their own, enclosing necessary documentary evidence in support of their claim.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF WORKSHOP SUPRINTENDENT:
Workshop Supdtt - Pay Band: Rs.15600-39100 + GP 7600/-
i) “Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Manufacturing/Production
Engineering with minimum five years of work experience in the
Manufacturing/Production related field.
OR
M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Manufacturing/Production
Engineering with minimum seven years of post M.Tech work experience in the
Manufacturing/Production related field.
Desirable: Experience of developing a modern state- of art workshop in a reputed
Institution , Knowledge and exposure to latest trends in different manufacturing
processes and Machines, cutting tools and dies, CNC machines, Manufacturing system,
unconventional machines and processes, plastic parts manufacturing, different types of
control, Electrical and Electronic repair shop etc.”

iii) Knowledge of Hindi/ Sanskrit up to Matric
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE APPLICANTS

Candidates must read and follow these instructions very carefully. Applications not submitted in
conformity with these instructions are liable to be rejected.
1. Fill in the application form including the API Form legibly and correctly. Any relevant additional
information that the candidate may like to give should be separately attached.
2. Distance Degrees which are not approved by the Joint Committee of UGC, DEC and AICTE
shall not be considered for appointment at any level in the University.
3. a) Persons in the employment of Government Departments, Universities or educational
institutions, public enterprises, quasi-Government organizations, whether in a permanent or
temporary capacity, must apply through their employer. However, advance copy may be
submitted directly to the University and bring a “No Objection Certificate” at the time of
Interview. In the absence of NOC, candidate may not be interviewed.
b) The benefit of past service/experience will be considered in accordance with the State Govt
Memo No. 25/1/12-4 TE dated 29.03.2013 (copy attached herewith)
4. All applications should be sent to the Registrar, YMCA University of Science & Technology,
Sector-6, Mathura Road, Faridabad-121006 (Haryana), so as to reach on or before the last
date stipulated in the advertisement. Applications received after the date fixed for receipt of
applications/incomplete applications will not be entertained, ordinarily. The university will not
be responsible for any postal/ courier delay.
5. All application must accompany attested copies of testimonials along with two self-addressed
envelopes, in case the candidates failed to attach attested copies of testimonials, their
application would not be considered.
6. Applications not accompanied by a crossed bank draft/University receipt of required fee as per
advertisement will not be considered. The bank draft may be drawn in favour of the
Registrar, YMCA University of Science & Technology, Faridabad payable at Faridabad.
7. It should be understood that the submission of application and fee does not automatically
entitle a candidate to be called for test/interview nor refund of fee will be permissible as only
those candidates who pass through the process and are found suitable will be considered.
8. Candidates, if invited, will appear in written test and/or interviews, at such places and time as
may be fixed; at their own expense.
9. Number of posts may change at the time of selection at the sole discretion of the University.
10. Selected candidates, after joining the service of the University shall be governed by the rules
and regulations of the University as may be in force from time to time in addition to the
conditions stipulated in their appointment letters.
11. Candidate should possess sound health. If selected they will be required to undergo medical
examination and satisfy such medical authority, as the University may prescribe.
12. Reservation of posts is as per the Reservation Policy of the State Govt. and will be for Haryana
Residents only.
13. Concealment of facts or supply of wrong information will result in cancellation of candidature
at any time in addition to legal action.
14. All disputes will be subject to Faridabad Jurisdiction.
15. There will be a written test for the post of Assistant Professor. Information in this regard will
be displayed on University website i.e. www.ymcaust.ac.in in the 2nd week of Jan 2017. The
applicants are advised to visit the website for related update. It may be noted that no

points in this case. However, if a teacher goes to foreign university/institute for teaching, training and
academic developments for more than one week, the API-points shall be calculated accordingly

(oral/poster). However, if a paper presented in Conference /Seminar is published in the form of
