Duration : From last week of September to first week of October

Yemshe festival is a harvest festival of Pochuri tribe

All Pochuri tribe come together and celebrate the yemshe festival with fun and frolic.

Celebrates with wine and bamboo dance

After the village spokesman announce the arrival of festival from the next day festivities begins.

The whole village is cleaned by the village youth starting from streets, footpath, well, ponds, fields, etc

Head of the family performs the rituals of yemshe festivals whose materials are fasten to the entrance of each house.

It is also the time for fun and merry making as the engaged couples exchange gifts and indulge in feasts and wine, and this is big yemshe.

The celebrations with rituals is called small yemshe.

The ritual feast has to be hosted by a rich family.

The family hosting the Purification Feast, has to provide wine to all families of the village.

They scarifies deer, chicken and frog according to the fertility of land.

After the sacrifice the tribe eat and drink and many games they play.

The last day of the feast will be impressively observed as the feast cleansing day and the very next day all go for harvesting.
