Hello Year 3, We have come to the end of the home learning packs for Year 3. Even though we have had

a long time out of class, we have enjoyed every day of teaching Year 3! We would like to thank you and your families for all the hard work this year at this difficult time.

This week we are going to continue revisiting the units that we have studied throughout the year. Literacy this week is based on writing an autobiography- we wrote one right at

the beginning of Year 3 so you will have had events that are different to nearly a year ago, including events such as lockdown. We are recapping how to use tables and charts and

pictograms in Maths. In Geography, we are going back to the Countries of the World unit, which was back in the Autumn term looking at some of the landmarks in The British Isles. This week’s Science gives you a chance to recap some information about our skeletons.

Tuesday English Today you are going to write two sections of your autobiography. Use this one about Little Red Riding Hood to help you see what on things she has said in her autobiography. All about me

My full name is Little Red Riding Hood but some people

like to call me Red. My mum called me Red when I was

2 months old and it has just stuck. I was born on

16th January, 2008 and at present I am nine years old. I

go to Nowheresville Primary School and I am in year

four. My favourite subject at school is English because I

love to read stories and make up some of my own too. I

am almost 1.3 metres tall but I wish I was a bit taller so

that I could reach my Mum’s cake cupboard. I have long,

shiny, brown hair which sometimes ends up a bit scruffy

after my forest walks and I have brown eyes.

Where I Live

I live in a place called Nowheresville. If you’re wondering why it

is called Nowheresville, it’s because I cannot tell you how boring it is to live here. Literally nothing ever

happens. Nowheresville is in a large, deep forest. There are so many trees around for me and

my friends to climb. Me and my friend Adam love to climb to the top of the largest tree in the forest and

from there were are able to spot Funsville and see what’s going on there. Our home is a

small bungalow which has a kitchen, living room,

bathroom and two bedrooms. My bedroom is green and has posters of my favourite film, The Three

Little Pigs all around it. You need to write two sections All about me Where I live

Wednesday English Now you are going to write the next two sections of your autobiography. Use this one about Little Red Riding Hood to help to see what things she has said in her autobiography.

The thing that I love to do the most is to play with my

best friend Adam. We have the best fun together. We

love playing hide and seek in the forest, I’ve found this

secret tree trunk which I am able to fit inside and so far

he hasn’t been able to find me in there yet. He has to

send me a text message to say that he has given up

looking for me! When we are not playing hide and seek

we like just chilling out together and listening to music. I

absolutely HATE surprises. Once my Mum threw me

a surprise party for my 7th birthday and I cried and cried

because it is was a surprise. I also hate… wolves. Just

the way that they look petrify me and also I had a

terrible encounter with a wolf once.
