This week’s focus is contractions. Contractions are when an apostrophe is used to shorten two words into one. For example: is not becomes isn’t did not becomes didn’t can not becomes can’t Play a contraction hunt game Have a look around your house and find as many contractions as you can. Look all around your house in books, newspapers, magazines and even food labels. Challenge Can you find more than 7 different contractions.
