News Assessment In week 5 (23rd - 27th May) the students will be required to present special news to the class. They need to find a game, food or craft that they would like to teach the rest of the class. If they are teaching the class how to prepare a food recipe they can bring pho-tos or pictures of the steps (it’s not necessary that they cook in front of the class) They can write their presentation on cardboard, prepare a PowerPoint slide show or simply use palm cards as props. The students will be assessed on their presentation skills:

Did they speak loud and clear? Did they make eye contact with the audience? Was the information well prepared?

Year 1 Homework Term 2 You child is required to do 30 minutes of homework every day.

Each night for homework they need to:

1. Copy the spelling words once 2. Complete one spelling activity 3. Complete part of the Math Mentals (1 unit per week only) 4. Read their Home Reader

Homework will be given every Monday and should be ready to hand to their teacher on Friday.
