Careers
seeks to empower and prepare college-bound
students for life after high school by integrating core curriculum with social sciences and the arts. All students are expected to commit to the
four-year pathway track focusing their studies in visual arts. The pro-gram places an emphasis on standards-based instruction while using the arts as a vehicle for helping students develop a sociological perspective
that will allow them to gain a better understanding of themselves, as creative individuals, and the world around them.
The overarching goal of the Arts Academy is to nurture young people's development into adults who understand aesthetics, the history of art, and who are able to create original, expressive works of art.
