Campus Copenhagen from A to Z

A Access, student, and printer cardCombined student car/access card will be provided by student administration

If you lose your student card, you must contact reception as soon as possible, so that the card can be blocked. You will be required to pay the replacement price which is currently DKK 200.Issuing a new student card/access card costs DKK 200.

If your access card/key is damaged you must contact the reception as soon as possible.Cost of replacement is as stated above.

AJOURAJOUR is the schools own publishing house and publishes, inter alia, books on journalism and media. On the net bookshop, ajour.dmjx.dk you can purchase books on your subject.

Alarms and access control:Many of the school’s rooms have a door alarm fitted. If the door is held open too long you will hear a beep. This indicates that either the door must be closed immediately or the door release must be pressed. If this is not done an alarm will be triggered which, outside the reception opening hours, will cost DKK 2,000.

Access control / Intruder alarm / Security guards:G4S - Telephone 70 33 44 55

Access cards and keys are used at Campus CopenhagenThe access card is also used when copying on the school’s multi-function machines.

During reception opening hours the key provides access to:

• Outer doors with pin code• Internal doors without pin code

Outside reception opening hours the key provides access to:

• Outer doors with pin code• Internal doors with pin code

5CAMPUS AARHUS · DANISH SCHOOL OF MEDIA AND JOURNALISM

Campus Copenhagen from A to Z Extra security – guards – what does this mean?

• Several times during the day you will see a uniformed guard … even more in the evening, at weekends, and during holidays.• If you meet a guard you will be asked to show your ID and what you are doing at the school.• Please remember that the guards are there for your benefit …

Avoid false alarms• False alarms create insecurity.• Fully close the door after you; the door hydraulics can’t do it for you.• If you hold a door open too long you will hear a beep from the control panel. This means

you must close the door as soon as possible or press the door out button for more time.• False alarms that are not cancelled cost DKK 2,000 for each occasion!• False alarms also generate a ’cry wolf’ effect.• If, nonetheless, you trip the alarm by mistake, go to the reception and tell them how and

why it happened. This will save a staff member from having to run to the place in question to see what has occurred.

• If you break a cup by one of the thumb turns, or if you discover that one is missing, please contact reception. Otherwise, the next passerby will probably use the thumb turn.
