Overview – Why XC ?
XC ( X= Xtended - C = Color ) is designed as 2 color printer Main reason for the development was the introduction of the GHS
regulation. (GHS = Globally Harmonised System) Available as 4 inch and 6 inch wide printers. Both with 300 dpi resolution

Additional setup settings
Distance between the printheads Head alignment in Y direction Ribbon saver Jscript / On
XC is always left side oriented
19.04.23 cab Produkttechnik GmbH & Ko KG - Thomas Rudolphi 13
Direct Programming
Data is sent by Jscript to both print heads
Print objects are positioned like one large print head – analog to the XD printers
The printheads are „cut“ in 2 pieces.... ....theoretical We decide to take 2 printheads instead. ;-) But this is important to know and to
understand how the positions for the objects are defined
The printer does not know anything about colors !!

Color separation
Color separation handled by the windows driver
Printer control via labelling software ( cablabel R2+ or cablabel S3)
Usage of „clean“ colors Knowledge about color separation
is necessary

Color separation
Color settings in the windows driver

Sensors - Monitoring
Print head open sensor 2x Ribbon sensor 2x (with position LED) Paper (material) sensor

Limits
Ribbon saver for the „first“ print head Small ribbons can be used How does the ribbon saver work ? –
Mechanically - electronically „One color printing“ One color printing with ribbon saver ? Multiple labels across –are not
possible with the Jscript command. Single labels only with blank labels
between No support of the serial interfaces Supressed material backfeed
