geratio o dual mode basebad takig the ext step i brigig ehaced

eatures such as HSDPA ad HSUPA to the mass market.

This chip is desiged or cost optimized cellular phoes addressig the

eature phoe market. With the eriched multimedia capabilities icludig

parallel ad MIPI iteraces or cameras ad displays ad ochip HW or

video ad graphic acceleratio it drives advaced eatures ito the cosumer

price segmet. The XGOLDTM618 provides the complete modem uctioality

with HSDPA cat 8 (7.2Mbps), HSUPA cat 4 (2.9Mbps), EDGE multi slot class

33 ad icludes the latest OMTP security stadards.

The processig o the 2G/3G cellular protocol stack is hadled by a

ARM1176 Embedded Microcotroller. The physical layer ad the voice

processig are hadled by dedicated hardware accelerators ad DSP sub

system.

The XGOLDTM618 is the mai device o the XMMTM6180 platorm solutio,

a reerece desig with the complete Rf egie, the itegrated release 6

protocol stack ad the uiversal sotware adaptio layer UTA or customers

applicatio suites. The high itegratio level o basebad, PMIC ad

applicatio uctios ad the combiatio with Iieos SMARTiTMUE Rf

egie eables a PCB ootprit, below 800mm2 or triple bad 3G, quad

bad EDGE ad oers optimized stadby ad talk times. The solutio is

veriied through a iteroperability test program at irastructure vedors

ad etwork operators, to reduce the time to market o the cellular phoe

sigiicatly.
