WYMONDHAM HIGH SIXTH FORM DRESS CODE ‘Sixth Form students are expected to dress in a way that is appropriate for a professional working environment, such as an office or business meeting. As well as giving the students an adult image, the dress code strikes a balance between some degree of individuality, whilst recognising the importance of setting an example to other students, parents and visitors to the school.’ Professional attire: 1) All Students must wear a jacket at all times (weather permitting and at judgement of Sixth Form Team) 2) Students decide to wear either: o Dark trousers (brown, grey, navy, black or dark pin striped. Trousers must be full length (to ankle) and not tight fitting or overly baggy.) o Dark skirt (brown, grey, navy, black, dark pin striped or a small, subtle check is acceptable. Skirts must be of an appropriate length ( approximately a maximum of 3 inches above the knee.) and should not be too stretchy, no maxi skirts, miniskirts or skirts with slits up the side) o Tailored shift dress (navy, black, grey or patterned within this colour palette) No culottes, skorts or shorts. Students may not wear denim, combat trousers or cords. 3) Students decide to wear either: o A Shirt and tie (buttoned up to the collar, and tucked in). o A fitted blouse or smart top. Not strappy/strapless. No casual T-shirts, polo-shirts or polo-necks. 4) Jumpers may be worn under jackets, but must be of a plain, thin-knitted material and not bulky or patterned. Jumper are not a substitute for a jacket or shirt. Sweatshirts and hoodies are not acceptable. 5) Students decide to wear either: o Smart ‘leather look’ black or brown shoes. No trainers or canvas shoes. Very high heels and backless shoes are not appropriate for school. o Black, brown or navy ankle boots. 6) Discreet make-up and jewellery. 7) Piercings – only one piercing in each earlobe – retainers for other piercings.
