FLIC IN THE COMMUNITY
FLIC We pride ourselves on being an integral part of our community and provide we regularly help and provide coverage for police appeals, charity appeals and community events.
This recent appeal: www.flicwiltshire.com/missing-vulnerable-woman-found-safe-and-well-following-sighting-by-flic-reader resulted in Hope being found safe and well after being spotted by a FLIC reader.
A vulnerable Swindon woman who went missing from the town yesterday afternoon has been found safe and well after a FLIC reader saw an appeal on social media and spotted the missing lady at the train station.
Hope Harfield went missing after getting off a bus at Great Western Hospital yesterday afternoon.
Hope’s sister, Helen, raised the alarm yesterday evening and began a social media campaign to find Hope, who was described as vulnerable.
After publishing the appeal, FLIC was contacted by reader, Molly Hume, who had spotted Hope at the train station in Swindon. This information was passed onto Wiltshire Police who managed to locate Hope.
Hope’s sister, Helen contacted our News Editor at FLIC after her sister was found. She said “Hope has been found safe and well, it’s because of your appeal that someone recognised her and we were able to find her.
“I can’t thank Molly Hume enough; your sighting helped us to find her safe and well. Thank you to everyone for sharing and doing everything you could to help us! I am just so relieved that she is safe!”
