FOOD SAFETY SPECIALIST / SQF PRACTITIONER Cameron’s Coffee is seeking a Food Safety Specialist / SQF Practitioner to lead SQF practices in a rapidly-growing Plant environment that currently has an Excellent Rating. This position is responsible for compliance, development and improvement of SQF Level 2 practices and to aid quality technicians as they develop, test, modify and create solutions to quality related problems. Specifically, the Food Safety Specialist/SQF Practitioner will be responsible for developing, administering and maintaining applicable Food Safety Programs & Policies; implementation and continuous improvement of food safety focused programs including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), SQF Food Safety and Quality systems and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP). CAMERON’S COFFEE Cameron’s Coffee is a specialty, small-batch roastery based out of Shakopee, Minnesota with ~$43M in annual revenue. The company is privately held and employs ~90 people. Our coffee has one of the most robust and loved portfolio of flavors, blends and roasts. Our beans are sourced from all over the world within the Coffee Belt including some of the more exclusive coffees like Kona and Jamaica Blue Mountain. All of our coffee is same-day roasted and packaged in our best in class manufacturing facility. Cameron’s Coffee manufactures the Cameron’s brand, as well as Private Label for select retailers including Topco, H-E-B, Lunds & Byerly’s and owns licensing agreements with Dunn Brothers. RESPONSIBILITIESThe SQF Practitioner / Quality Regulations Lead will be responsible for:

Ensures all products are packaged in a safe, quality manner Performs daily finished good quality inspections as needed Ensures compliance to and audits HACCP plans Performs GMP audits and ensures compliance Performs internal quality structural, team, and individual audits Coordinates third party audits Implement, maintain, and improve SQF (Safety Quality Food) program and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Develop/update SQF procedures and policies Train employees on SQF procedures and policies Validate SQF procedures and policies

Evaluate food safety concerns in facility and implement programs to eliminate hazards

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field and Minimum of 3 years of professional

Quality experience. Food Manufacturing experience (GMP Type Facility) preferred, but not absolutely

necessary. GFSI Audit (SQF) experience required/certification preferred along with Quality System

development experience. Experience in a manufacturing location critical for best practices deployment. Experience with Continuous Improvement initiatives like or similar to Process Reliability,

Lean Manufacturing and Design for Six Sigma a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS NEEDED (ABILITY TO:) Identify and assess potential food safety hazards and quality defects. Effectively train essential plant employees in HACCP principles and SQF principles. Drive continuous improvement Affect change through indirect leadership Write SOPs, work instructions, and document all work utilizing databases for audit/improvement processes Effectively work with production team and other members of quality team to develop and maintain a Communicate excellently in written and verbal formats and be proficient at Word, Excel, PowerPoint

SOFT SKILLS NEEDED “Self-Starter”

o Passion and ability to create and implement (player/coach mentality) basic policies and processes to drive continuous improvement.

o Defining the role for management peers to become key member of Operations leadership team.

Leadership: o Ability to command presence with employees at all levels to deal with diverse

issues in a professional and mature manner. Become the go to person for all employees to discuss quality related issues.

o Team approach to achieving business results as role will work closely with other functions not only in Operations but also in other parts of the company.

o Ability to adapt as the needs of the job evolve with flexibility in a dynamic and ever-changing industry.

Quality functional expertise (Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control)o Ability to set up simplified policy programs, measure and track success.o Ability to lead by example (facilitate some quality meetings and broader trainings)
