MX AdvantagesTop label quality, superb reliability• MX press has demonstrated to be a top entry level press, that provides high quality results and
does not need great investment in terms of price. It is a press dedicated to the production of labels and, thanks to its short web-path, it minimizes the set-up waste while HP High Precision drive-belts guarantee a perfect printing register over time. The press requires no maintenance, no operator intervention other than very limited greasing on print and die-cutting gears.
• Since its launch in June 2012, more than seventy MX presses have been installed worldwide. MX presses makes Bobst Firenze technology available to a large number of converters who need top print quality, or would like to change from letterpress to UV-Flexo, at an affordable investment level. An 8 colors MX UV Flexo press, entirely loaded with Bobst Firenze quality, is the best possible option today available in the market.
• With MX the customer buys with a limited investment an 8-colors UV Flexo 370 mm printing machine with Cold Foil, die-cutting station and a set of printing tools (print and magnetic cylinders, anilox rollers). The machine offers the famous Flower™ flexo head.

FlowerTM Concept.
Using the Pitagora™ concept, a triangular pressure force configuration that mechanically blocks the print cylinder, the Flower flexographic group guarantees:
• Immediate and size independent print cylinder introduction on adjustable pressure blocks
• Independent inking and printing pressure adjustments• Fast print cylinder lift for quick length register regulation• No influence on the substrate tension for quick register
response• Print and ink pressure adjustments needed only in case
of paper thickness change.
The Pitagora™ concept is based on the assumption that Anilox and Impression Cylinder have the same dimension. The diameter of the two cylinder has been resized in order that the Impression Cylinder have a reduced contact area between cliché and support. In this way the quality of print has been improved but the diameter of the Anilox must not be too small in order to have good speed without ink spitting phenomena.

PITAGORA™
FlowerTM Concept.
Any disc position change corresponds to a variation of Plate position. This concept is applied to both print pressure and ink pressure adjustment which are needed only in case of paper thickness change.
The adjustment fingers system is the core of the flower. This system has been designed opportunely to guarantee the interchangeability of the print cylinder in different size without adjusting the pressure every 'me.
Unlike other systems is not necessary to make adjustment between rubber roller and Anilox and between doctor blade and Anilox. The lock of inking group happens thanks to the linchpins. The pressure between Anilox, rubber roller and doctor blade is always equal and constant.
Thanks to the compliance of the group, any adjustment remain on the machine and not on the Print Cylinder like other systems.

Cold foil unit
Cold foil printing, also known as cold foil stamping, is a modern method of printing metallic foil on a substrate in order to enhance the aesthetic of the final product. Using a standard printing plate, an image is printed onto a substrate with the use of a ultraviolet-curable cold foil adhesive. An ultraviolet dryer then cures the adhesive, which becomes tacky. Foil spools from an unwind and is nipped to a substrate. Foil sticks to the tacky adhesive on the substrate, and an image with a bright foil surface is created. Foil that does not adhere to the adhesive remains on a thin polyester liner, and waste is directed to a rewind spool. Because the adhesive is applied on press like a conventional ink, no expensive stamping die has to be created. Once printed, the surface of cold foil images may be varnished, laminated, or encapsulated in order to provide a hard-wearing, durable surface. Some printing substrates are unsuitable for cold foil transfer. The best results are obtained on glossy coated papers and papers with a smooth surface. Weights from about 80 to 500 g/m^2 are possible.
BenefitsThe process does not require stamping tools, but instead uses printing plates, which are cheaper and can be made in a few hours. In contrast, delivery time for an engraved or etched stamping tool can be up to two weeks.
UsesCold foil is most commonly used on products that call for a strong "shelf appeal", such as household consumables, cigarette cartons, wine labels, and cosmetic packaging. It provides a luxurious metallic look on higher added-value label applications.

The Delam Relam accessory separates the liner from the self-adhesive material to allow the inside printing. This unit is composed also by a tension arm and a laminating group to guarantee the perfect re-lamination of the two layers. It is designed and built to carry out reel-fed printing on the supported material.
Operating principle
The Delam Relam accessory unit is needed to delaminate and laminate supported material. It enables to print on the liner part of the substrate. The system consists of a splicing table with eccentric roll, idler rolls and dancer roll.
The Delam Relam has to go with other accessories such as: web Turn Bar, Vario on Infeed or Kit Infeed and additional pressure roll.The supported material is delaminated, the adhesive part is printed and dried before being relaminated.

A three axis lifting mechanism on a crossed rail system is integrates in the converting area. The operator never touches the dies, and can organize them in a specially built-in storage area after use.
