Do Now- Page ***• There is a bully at school who usually only picks on the “small, dorky” kids.

You do not think it is nice, but let it happen because it does not threaten you. You have been in a fight with this bully before and want to avoid another fight at ALL COSTS!

• The bully then picks on some classmates of yours who you are not really friends with, but you like. You nicely ask the bully to stop picking on your classmates and he promises he will just pick on those dorky kids from now on.

• Suddenly, one day, the bully starts to pick a fight with your two best friends. You still do not want to stay out of it, but they are your best friends!

What do you do?

• WWII begins in 1939• U.S. stays neutral (non involvement)– Neutrality acts of 1935, ‘36, and ’37 to keep U.S.
