Screw Screen in Self-Supporting Tank

GCP/C - GEC

The GCPC/GEC Screw Screen is a combined machine for the separation of solids present in effluents and the compaction and de-watering of the extracted solids.The suspended solids are retained by the screen, increasing the level in the front part of the screen. At this point the screw starts operating, cleaning the screen, removing the material, and then de-watering and compacting it.

The machine consists of the following parts:• Frame structure with supports, covered feeding container, inlet and outlet flange and provision for level

measuring device;• Screen;• Conveyorscrew;• Compactor(GCPConly);• Drive unit;• Safety switch;

The screen may be of two kinds:- Screen with Johnson profile, formed of special vertical profiles with a 1 to 2 mm mesh;- Perforated screen with 3 - 5 - 7 mm mesh.

The screen is kept clean by brushes fixed on the outer part of the screw flighting.The conveyor screw consists of a shaftless spiral which collects the solids from the bottom of the screen conveying them without risk of clogging.The compactor, positioned in the upper part, uses the conveyor screw for compaction and de-watering of thescreenings(GCPConly).

If the screenings are to be washed and the organic substances that may be present in it are to be dissolved, a system for washing organic materials can be added, as an option.The GCPC/GEC is designed to be fed by a pump.
