    specifications as detailed and as approved by the EIC;

    8.2 Designing, providing and laying proprietary chemical water proofing system

    consisting of polymer modified acrylic base composite coating (of one part or two

    part component) as approved by the EIC and as recommended by the approved

    manufacturer of waterproofing coating, sandwiched fibre mesh and protective

    screed. The work shall include cleaning of surface, grouting porous surfaces

    including making V grooves at junctions, cracks etc. Further including horizontal

    surface protected with 20mm screed in 1:4 mortar (1 cement : 4 sand) and vertical

    surface (wall) plastered with cement, sand mortar in ratio 1:4 (1 cement : 4 sand),

    finished in ready to receive Architectural finish, in correct line, level and plumb,

    curing, grouting, testing, etc. all complete to entire satisfaction of the PM, contractor

    to provide guarantee for 10 years Rs.100/- stamp paper in approved proforma. (To

    Toilets, Balconies etc.)

    8.3 Providing and filling Brick bat (40-60 mm) with cement mortar mixed in ratio 1:3:6

    (1 cement : 3 sand : 6 brick bats) including mixing of water proofing compound 4 %

    by weight of cement to sunk portions of toilets, kitchen projection, terraces etc.

    complete to the entire satisfaction of the EIC. Toilet / Sunk portion shall be tested by

    ponding water for 72 hrs.

    8.4 Designing, providing, installing Membrane waterproofing system below RCC

    foundation / raft and on outside of RCC retaining walls. System should follow

    progressive lifts of RCC retaining wall and should create 100% water tight and

    chemical barrier around the structure. All complete to approval of EIC and system

    shall be guaranteed for 10 years on Rs.100/- stamp paper. System recommended andspecified are as under. (Basement)

    Below RCC Raft

    - Clean the PCC concrete surface with brush. Remove sharp protrusion on the

    blinding layer by chipping and local repairs and apply one coat of solvent based

    bitumen primer on entire PCC surface by brush. If PCC top surface is wet/moist, the

    same shall be made dry by Hot air blow at site.

    - Laying 2mm thick non-reinforced PVC membrane sheet of approved make. The

    size of Membrane shall be large enough to minimize the number of joints. Adjacent

    sheet shall be laid in similar manner with overlap of at least 150mm. The overlap

    joint shall be cleaned with approved primer and sealed as per manufacturer's

    specification, sealing corners and drains etc.

    - Laying of geo-textile mat of 120 gsm shall be laid over Membrane with an overlap

    of 75 mm spot stuck with neoprene base bonding adhesive.

    Protective layer of 30mm thick IPS 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 sand : 4 aggregates) with

    adding waterproofing compound 4% by weight of cement shall be laid over the geo-

    textile. The treated surface should be cured for seven days.

    Outside Retaining Wall

    - System shall consist of preparation of surfaces including V grooves at junctions

    and joints, pressure grouting the same and curing.

    - Applying approved crystalline waterproofing compound one / two coat at

    specified intervals and as recommended by manufacturer and allowed to cure.

    - Walls plastering and finished smooth with about 15 mm thick with cement sand

    mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 sand) using 2% of waterproofing compound by weight of

    cement.- Floors to have average 30 mm thick IPS to gradient 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 sand : 4

    aggregate) with waterproofing compound 2% be weight of cement including

    required wattas, rounding of corners; junctions with walls and floor finished smooth

    Tank shall be tested by filling the water and maintaining it for 72 hrs. leakage.

    Contractor shall provide 10 year guarantee for waterproofing on Rs.100/- stamp

    paper in a approved proforma.

    8.6 Providing and applying membrane waterproofing to Landscape area through

    approved agencies consisting of

    - Cementious based chemical waterproofing coating (two / three coats) systemincluding preparation of surfaces to receive approved chemicals, curing

    - Light weight concrete of density 450 kg/cum and of minimum 75 mm thickness

    - Perforated Mel drain system. Mel Drain matrix soil filter cum drainage system

    from M/s WR Meadows Inc. USA. or.J drain Inc. USA or equivalent approved.

    - 3.2 mm thick APP Polymer modified polyester reinforced.

    - Membrane protected by 30 mm thick water proof screed in CM mix ratio (1:4)

    spread over entire landscape area and finished to receive Architectural finish. Walls

    plastered with 12 mm thick CM 1:4. Work to include adding Polypropylene

    Fibermesh fibers with Microban to mortar in proportion recommended by the

    manufacturer with use of approved products and work carried out as per approved

    shop drawings, instructions and specifications of the manufacturer of product. Alsoinclude required preparation of the surface, etc. testing by pounding water for 72

    hours and giving guarantee for 10 years on Rs.100/- Stamp paper in approved

    proforma.

    8.7 Providing and applying membrane waterproofing to basement projection area

    through approved agencies consisting of

    free from dust, remove any sharp protrusion before

    applying treatment. A bonding adhesive of

    approved make to be applied on the both sides of

    Membrane as well as on surface of retaining wall.

    Allow adhesive to dry until it is tacky then coated

    with 2mm thick non-reinforced PVC membrane ofapproved make. Adjacent sheet shall be adhere in

    similar manner with overlap of at least 150mm. The

    overlap joint shall be cleaned with approved primer

    and sealed as per manufacturer's specification.

    Membrane is covered upto 300 mm height above

    G.L and stuck the membrane into a groove cut into

    the concrete surface and seals the groove with a

    suitable bitumastic or li uid sealant.- A protective layer of 7.5mm thick HDPE protection

    board of approved make shall be adhered over

    Membrane with approved bonding adhesive.

    8.5 Designing, providing and installing proprietarycrystalline waterproofing system to inside surfaces

    of the water retaining structures
