January 2015 Dear friends and family

Have you ever been so excited about something you just cant sleep And so full

of anticipation you can hardly wait until morning comes

Thats how it was in December for me and January has already proven to be even

more exciting I can only imagine what God has in store for us in 2015

Youre probably wondering So what could be so exciting

In mid-December we took a team of volunteers into Cumberland County Jail to do Christmas caroling What a blessing to share Jesus love with the inmates during the most difficult time of the year for anyone in lock-up Some of the inmates were not allowed to leave their cells so we would go to the cell door and sing outside of the small glass window touching our hands to theirs on the glass POWERFUL doesnt even begin to describe that experience We are now talking with the Chaplain about leading a contemporary Chapel once a month What a great opportunity for us to build relationships that we trust will lead to more mentoring Bible studies and transformed lives

At Androscoggin County Jail we have established a solid team of 14 volunteers We

are doing oneone and group mentoring and leading Bible studies with the inmates

But what blew my mind was that some of the staff have asked us if we would

lead a Bible study with them I cant stop praising God for this amazing

breakthroygh

At Maine State Prison we recently were given the privilege of beginning several things that are unprecedented Were doing One to Ones with those who are in solitary confinement through the glass window of their cells These inmates are in their cells 23 hours a day - for months and often for years As you can imagine these inmates struggle with loneliness and despair Without the hope a relationship with Christ can offer their lives can spiral down very fast

Also at Maine State Prison we are in the beginning stages of offering Ready for Life

classes for inmates getting ready to re-enter their communities That is something

we have long been praying would happen

With deep appreciation to the Lord and you
