For many reasons, such as they could have put all there force into attacking the eastern front, instead of having there army divided with some attacking Britain to the west, and some attacking the USSR to the east. Had Britain been invaded, The Nazis may have defeated the USSR and this would have made the Nazis victorious and won WW2. Churchill lead Britain to win the world war lead Britain through very bad times he persuaded many major presidents to come with Britain to defeat Germany.
