What is the mission?

World Repair Kids unleashes the superhero in every child – the protectors, the fixers, the champions of good. The World Repair Kit seeds a kid’s imagination with facts, sprinkles on a little inspiration, and illustrates tools that work.

The world belongs to all of us, and we must each do our part to care for it. That’s what the World Repair Kids Club is all about – putting our heads and hearts together to find real ways to make real change happen – in our own worlds and around the globe. Together we can repair the world!

WORLD REPAIR KIDS MOVEMENT

The World Repair Kit it is designed to act as a spark to a “movement”. We hope it ignites a bold generation of doers to support existing organizations and extend their work to new audiences and greater heights.

World Repair Kids are the owners of this movement. We just get them started.

Acting as a community is the first essential lesson and its one that underlies the vision and model for this effort. Partnerships will be essential to ensure that World Repair Kids succeed.

CASE STUDY

Partnership for Growth:Break into 3 groups…

1) Growth strategy with for-profits… how approach & whom to approach as the best partners for brand & distribution

2) Growth strategy for schools… what’s the best way to get the kit out there in schools? Start up clubs / chapters? Formalize school program / empower schools to be sustainable / set them up for success

3) Growth strategy in philanthropic & nonprofit world… how do we position ourselves for short-term & long-term funding? How do we measure success? What is our pitch for seed funding?

CASE STUDY

Other questions for thought… Financial model? Price point for kit, percent of book sales to nonprofits / foundation? Organization model? Foundation structure? Matching grants, own grants? Marketing? Story, social media, where does the book fit into the product line, biggest bang for limited marketing bucks?
