2009 HAS BEEN A VERY SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR US. UNDER THE STARS CAMP The WMAA camp held at Tamworth in April was attended by 70 members despite the weather. Seminars were run by: - Kip Stavrou Kubudo Bill Young Kata Duane Miller Street Defence Alexsandra Covek Sparring Techniques Bill Johnson Tactical Defence Sid Yates Kickboxing Lindsay Guy Self-Defence The day ended with an abundance of talent for the Under the Stars Tournament and some more delicious food prepared by Natalie and all her helpers. Overall participant of the day was awarded to Joshua Carrier from Tora Shintai. Just some of the people who attended. WMAA team in America celebrate a huge success. WMAA took a team of 18 to America for the ISKA World Titles held in Orlando, Florida. Even with 5,000 competitors from all over the world our small team was set to make their mark and with great success. Everyone bought home something including several World Titles.

And to all those who helped with sponsorship and

fundraising to get us there, THANK YOU.

GRADING DAY: World Martial Arts Association recently held our annual grading day in Sydney at Tora Shintai’s new dojo, Wetherill Park. All forms to be returned by Thurs. 3rd Dec. 2009. No late entry on the day. This is an invitation only tournament. You need to have qualified by ranking in the Top 10 in

your age/rank category through the year by attending the 2009 ISKA tournaments. $1 from every entry will be donated to the Brave Hearts Foundation.

CAMPS: Tamworth Under The Stars: First WMAA event of 2010. January long weekend. Come camping in Tamworth and enjoy seminars all day and a mini tournament at night. Enquires to Bill and Natalie Young 0402806701. Kenpokai Keepit Camp: Held at beautiful Lake Keepit near Gunnadah. 19th, 20th & 21st of March. Seminars catering for junior students as well as seniors.
