National Assembly The 3rd Estate declares themselves the National Assembly and are locked out of the Estates General. They take the Tennis Court Oath and are determined to write a Constitution. Louis XVI tells the other 2 estates to join the 3rd. They ended up writing the Declaration of the Rights of Man which ends privileges of nobles, guaranteed basic human rights for all citizens, and established a constitutional monarchy.
