Our Brazilian boat Bom Pastor or “Good Pastor”
We were squeezed into tight living quarters on the little mission boat dedicated to ministry in the Pantanal (everglades) of Western Brazil. Our captain had a hand drawn map of the uncharted river and remote villages our small medical team was scheduled to visit. The native pastor wanted us to visit seven villages, but due to mechanical breakdowns we were delayed several times for many hours and were able to visit five of those villages. We saw a total of 419 patients during the five day
Tina, my daughter, catches piranha to eat on the boat
river trip. They received their first New Testament Bibles in the Portugese language. The native pastor will return to these villages in the small boat named “Good Pastor.” We want to send an offering to help them make necessary repairs on their mission boat to go back to those villages we visited.

I am leaving in a few days for Ethiopia, Africa to help Dr. John Balikowski give final exams
to our first dental class. John and I will be speaking at commencement for the college.
Twenty-one students have been selected to start in the next dental class. We need to hire
four instructors to help Dr. John teach in the dental school. We need your help to keep the
dental school operating at its full student enrollment.
Please consider how you can help us with these many mission projects.
Sincerely In His Service,
Ron Lamb
