Venturie effect
Micro climate is cooled by combined effect of venturie
effect and breeze that gets cooled by water body in
central area
Enhancing the Vista
Orientation is such that maximum vision of sea can be
achieved.
Open plan, maximum visibility, and circulation are
some of criteria considered while designing. Spaces
flows in a way that they are integrated still
retaining their identity in space planning.
Openable glass panels are used to maximize
effects of wind, light, and scenic views of the sea.

RE-ENERGIZING WEST END
The proposal is to elevate the site to match
to the existing level of downtown Cincinnati
and Mount Adams. The floors below the
elevated ground level will be occupied by
multi-leveled parking and light industries,
which will be located at the periphery.
The ground will be used for public realm
with retail and other land uses that will help
to activate the streets. Various building
typologies incorporating commercial,
residential, and public use will make this
area a high density mixed-use district.

In this project, we attempt to create a useful retail
district that includes relevant commercial activities
that benefit community members; balance
neighborhood needs with city amenities; signage to
improve brand and way finding; improve NBD’s
connectivity to the wider

COMPLETING THE NEIGHBORHOOD
BUSINESS DISTRICT
The project attempts to use the fistful opportunities to
gain resiliency and environmental protection. The
projects focuses on increasing green and blue scape,
increasing water table and reduction erosion.
Swale layout - the water from impervious surface flows in
swales, which channelizes it to the spotted open spaces.
Constructed wetlands - The largest spotted open space has an
opportunity to become a constructed wetland for storm water
retention.
