This year’s theme: “Hope and Healing: Mind, Body and Soul”. It is oursponsorship ad in the Prince George’s County 2022 WHMC CommemorativeSouvenir booklet. There are a limited number of sponsorships. Please do notmiss this opportunity to lend your support for this signature event.
The Annual Women’s History Month Celebration program attracts women andmen from government, the arts, business, education, religion, nonprofits andother sectors who are doing great work in our County and region. WHMC isthe County’s premiere networking event for those who want to connect withwomen in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
The highlight of the event includes the highly coveted award presentations,including the Gladys Noon Spellman Public Service Award, which is namedin honor of the late Congresswoman who climbed the ranks of service from theCounty classroom to Capitol Hill. In addition, the Prince George’s Proud andthe Executive Choice Awards will be presented in recognition of severalvisionary and accomplished women in our community.
The Gladys Noon Spellman Scholarship Award will recognize graduatingseniors with both academic and civic excellence. Without a doubt, theexpenses that accompany a college education can be overwhelming. It is ourgoal to provide substantial scholarships to our high school recipients to helpease their financial responsibilities.
