Within the Würth group Würth Industrie Service GmbH &
Co. KG is responsible for delivering industrial customers. In
1999 the company was founded as an independent com-
pany and since that date it is operating from its location at
the Industriepark Würth in Bad Mergentheim/Germany.
The wide range of C-parts adapted to the needs of spe-
cifi c target groups and the unique supply concept make
Würth Industrie Service be your competent partner for
C-parts. The product range of Würth Industrie Service is
focused on industrial requirements for production needs,
small parts and assembly material for the construction of
plants, machines and vehicles as well as the maintenance
equipment.
Würth Industrie Service provides market support and con-
sequently analyses the current needs and the future requi-
rements of all customers.
The coated fasteners in stock decisively expand our stan-
dard product range and completely meet the requirements
of several company standards in the fi eld of the automotive
industry as well as the machinery and plant engineering.
In addition to the products Würth Industrie Service provi-
des competent and individual technical customer service.

After thorough market analyses and several standardisa-
tion processes the surface systems have been developed
for a wide field of applications. We succeeded in reducing
the number of systems on only five. You find an overview
of the systems on pages five and six, a detailed descrip-
tion of the individual surfaces from pages seven to nine.
The requirements to be met are fulfilled by audited
suppliers and are regularly checked by our quality as-
surance laboratory. Würth Industrie Service reserves
the right to choose the type of coating depending on
the licensor and the coating company. The surface sys-
tems we offer clearly exceed the requirements on cor-
rosion protection according to the different standards
(DIN EN ISO 4042, DIN EN ISO 10683 and
DIN 50979).
Würth Surface Systems
Chromium(VI)-free corrosion protection coatings are state of the art in coating technology
Choosing the new Würth Surface Systems you have the following advantages:
• Repeatable preload forces due to defined coefficients of friction for all coating systems
• Conforms to the latest environmental laws:
- EU Directive 2011/65/EU „RoHS“
- EU Directive 2012/19/EU „WEEE“
- EU Directive 2000/53/EU on end-of-life vehicles
- VDA list (GADSL)
- REACh Regulation EG 1907/2006 „REACh“
• Maximum corrosion resistances
• Uniform surface designations
• Maximum quality standard
• Cost savings due to a reduced number of different parts

Construction Notes
Which coating type for which application?
Searching the optimum corrosion protection there are a large number of factors to observe.
Factors are:
- the environment
- the respective component material
- the design of the part
- as well as legal and normative requirements.
Our product and application service would be happy to help you find the optimum coating for your specific application.
High-strength partsDisadvantages of electroplated coatings on parts with property class 10.9 or more (zinc, zinc-nickel alloys) can be com-
pensated by zinc flake coatings. There is an increased risk of hydrogen embrittlement if high-strength or case-hardened
parts have got an electroplated surface coating. This applies to fasteners having a core or surface hardness higher than
320 HV or a tensile strength of more than 1,000 MPa. Any further treatment of the parts (e.g. heat treatment) cannot
completely exclude hydrogen embrittlement according to DIN EN ISO 4042.
Trueness to gauge size of zinc flake coatings Würth Surface Systems with zinc flake coating are only availble for thread diameters ≥ M6. The reason for this is that
thread pitches smaller than 1 mm are not completely true to gauge size. Therefore and in accordance with the latest
technical standards zinc flake coatings can only be used without restrictions for thread components ≥ M6. In cooperation
with licensors and coating engineers we are currently developing reliable solutions for dimensions ≤ M5. Nevertheless,
restrictions on the lifetime of corrosion protection have to be accepted for some cases.
Zinc flake coatings on products with internal drivesIf you use zinc flake coatings for products with internal drives smaller than M6, undesirable material accumulation may
occur. In this case an optimum load transmission cannot be ensured.
