If you want that relationship with God today for the first time, and you want to accept that Jesus died on the cross for you so you can have a full and free life on this earth … if you want that today then I want you to raise your hand right now, and I want you to repeat this prayer after me …(Have students repeat the prayer after you to receive Jesus in their lives and to begin to live for Him.)

The Point Fear will keep you from going forward.

Intro Tell about a funny fear you had and how you overcame it.

We all have things in our lives that scare us. Well tonight, we’re going to work through and overcome those things. We’re going to do that with the help of tonight’s movie: Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

Play this week’s video message.

Close Let’s close our eyes and bow our heads.

Some of you have realized today that fear is very common in your life. Today you realized that because of fear, there’s been so much that you’ve wanted to accomplish that you haven’t been able to. Fear has just kept you stuck. Fear has kept you from moving forward. If today you want to commit to working on getting rid of fear, and start to move forward in the things God has for you … if you want to move forward in freedom from fear, then raise your hand right now and let me pray for you. (Pray for the students.)

Keeping your eyes closed and heads bowed:

Or, maybe today you just thought fear was a part of everyday life. Maybe you never understood that there is a God who loves you, and cares about you, and wants you to have a full and free life. I want to remind you of the verse 2 Timothy 1:7 that says that God did not give you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-discipline. Maybe you’ve never really had a relationship with God, but you’re ready to start it today. You’re ready to start living a life of power, love, and self-discipline.
