Band founder and bass violinist Mark Hembree, has performed with Bill Monroe and Randy Travis. He was also part of the founding group who formed the Nashville Bluegrass Band, which later went on to perform the music soundtrack for the movie, “Oh Brother Where Art Thou.” Melding instrumental virtuosity and the powerful charm of classic songs old and new, from way out West to Tin Pan Alley, this six-piece band are nicknamed “Milwaukee’s Western Swing Kings.” With fiddle, piano, guitar, steel guitar, acoustic bass, and drums, The Best Westerns musical repertoire ranges from Bob Wills to Benny Goodman, with stops along the way for Slim Gaillard, Speedy West, Count Basie, Carl Smith, Ray Price and many more too numerous to name.
