It is important to know
1. Nearer access point to you.
2. How to use it efficiently.
3. Firewall disable option.
4. Wireless radio on option.
5. On Demand option .
6. Data backup.
Start Troubleshooting WLAN
Start
> Connect To
> Show all Connections
Disable - Enable - Check
Disable
Local Area Connection
Enable
Wireless Network Connection
Check
WLAN (Radio) LED status on the Front Panel Dashboard.
If LED is not Glowing Check Radio Issues.
Radio Issues
Select 'Wireless Network Connection' Properties (right-click)
Click Configure button to get 'Intel PRO / Wireless LAN ..... adapter' properties
Select Advanced Tab
Remove the Tick mark for 'Wireless Device Off'
Press OK
Check your Front Panel Dashboard WLAN LED status. It should glow for the Laptop to Transmit / Receive data.

Networking Components Needed for WLAN
● Client for Microsoft Networks
● File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
● QoS Packet Scheduler
● AEGIS Protocol (IEEE 802.1x) v 2.2.1.0
● WLAN Transport
● Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
De-select all others
IP Configuration
Don't enter any
IP address
Gateway
DNS address
Select 'automatically' options
Available / Preferred Networks
Select 'Wireless Networks' Tab
Select 'Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings' Check-box
Refresh to see the available networks. Wait for 1-2 minutes & Refresh again
Select 'Advanced' button
Networks to Access
Select 'Access point Infrastructural Networks only' option
Also select 'Automatically connect to non-preferred networks' option
Then close to go back to previous screen
Firewall
Select 'Advanced' Tab
Disable 'Internet Connection Firewall' for the time being.
Go back to 'Wireless Networks' Tab
Refresh again & again till you see a Circle on an available network.
Choose OK to complete the configuration
Wireless Network Connection Status
In case you got this screen, When you select 'Wireless Network Connection' from Task Bar
Select the listed Networks (and click Connect) one-after-the-another, till you get good connection
Select the option 'Allow me ...................even though it is not secure' Option
Troubleshooting with Commands
Start > Run
Type cmd in Run window, to open Command Prompt
c:\> ipconfig /all
Troubleshooting with Commands
If the output shows Gateway as 10.250.0.109, your configuration is correct.
Otherwise, try the following commands:
C:\> ipconfig /release
if wrong/automatic IP address is released, it will display new IP address as 0.0.0.0
Repeat command till you get this new IP address
C:\> ipconfig /renew
It will get new IP address from DHCP server automatically. Check with 'ipconfig /all' command again to verify the gateway.
Output of Fully configured WLAN
Check
DHCP Server: 10.250.0.77
If not, try ipconfig commands....
Ping : Check Connectivity
Finally PING your DHCP Server to get similar output as shown above.
